Feuerverger is a professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Toronto. He holds a B.Sc (Honors Mathematics) from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. He has visited many universities and research facilities over the span of his career, including A.E.C.L., Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Grenoble. Feuerverger�s research interests include: statistical theory; mathematical statistics; nonparametrics and asymptotics. In addition, Feuerverger has given conferences and seminar presentations at a variety of locations around the world, including Banff, Columbia, Italy, Prague and Tokyo.
He is the author of over 50 scientific publications, including: Achieving limiting distributions for Markov chains using back buttons, Statistical methods for assessing the dimensions of synaptic vesicles in nerve terminals and Computation of value-at-risk for nonlinear portfolios.
