Q: Christians shouldn't take this video as an attack on their religion. Take it for what it is, the other view. It's good for a religion to have opponents because then the truth can be reached. This goes for any religion. It's only through challenges that one gets stronger in their beliefs.

A: The basics of any religion is good....not just Christianity. Its the judging that Christians do that is bad. if we tried to get people to believe half the things the bible claims this day in age.....we'd be laughed all the way to the sanitarium. Honestly....waters being parted....people resurrecting....arks filled with every specie...2 people starting the earths population. I had someone point blank laugh at me about witchcraft. They thought it ludicrous that I could believe in such a thing and yet they were advocating for the bible.....spreading the truth so they said. When I asked about these things happening in the bible they promptly got angry and told me it was a magickal time. *rolls eyes* why is it only in that era that these magical things happened??

A: I just have to comment on this. Christianity has done a lot of bad very very bad.

Many of the worst attrocities and genocides since Jesus time have been committed in the name of Christianity and before that that the old testament is filled with attrocitys and genocide. No! Christianity must answer for a legacy of genocide and totalitarian collusion with despot heads of state to create wars to further their power hungry political goals.

The New testament may teach some good principles, but this is not the Christianity the world has been tortured by.

A: Actually, Christianity has done neither good or bad.
It's man all the way. He might be inspired by christian thought from time to time, but man ultimately bears the responsibility.

It's like guns. Guns don't kill. Man does.

A: I think that the world has seen Both......

The best of christianity, and the worst.

When any form of power concentrates absolutly, it becomes volatile. This is evident in Chemistry, ect.... The same goes for man's power, regardless of the form, Because quite frankly we are bound by those same fundamental laws of nature.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely..... Look at other forms of power and not just christianity.

Hitler's reich for instance. Power , which took the form of political, physical, and the philosphical, concentrated and became so dense in that society it became Volitile. When something this dense goes back to it's original state, it's usually not a pretty sight.

Christianity's power has been variable through it's tenure. Of course ,the dark ages was a pinnicle of absolute power, and absolute corruption. During this time is when the core philosophy was tinkered with many times. Old manuscripts were floating around and being reworked, over and over. The council of Trent was bassically to decide what the population would have at it's acsess, and that acsess was determined by Whom? man, Not God.

In those days, the average guy was iliterate. And if a guy could read, there wasnt that much acceptable by the church to read. Anyway, the average Joe had to rely on what the priest told him. The church concentrated alot of power due to this. The masses were iliterate, and the churc/ govt. knew it.

Things got REAL bad when the church got into bed with kings. (govt.) As we all know at this time the fires were lit.

As time went on , more and more folks learned to read, and therfore question. The reformation was a rebellion. A most needed one. However, when these groups concentrated power, the same results happened. Remember, the catholic church was not the only group lighting fires underneath people.

In the u.s., it is illegal to murder someone for opposing religious views. No more can people go around whacking people for looking through telescopes, having rock gardens, or just being accused by some dope for witchcraft. No, the constitution forbids discrimination of creed.

Many beleive the articles were written to protect religion. It was not. It was written to protect INDIVIDUALS from being whacked , or discriminated against by religion. This go for none believers too. An atheist can disagree with a baptist, but he does not havre a right to whack him.

Enter hell.........

The church in the early days relied on ACTUAL fire, ACTUAL death, and ACTUAL exile as a fear tactic to keep it's mostly illiterate population in tow. There were not many 'hellfire and brimstone' sermons going on. Punishment was being dished out wholesale and in real time.

In more recent history, it.'s illegal to do that. So, The attempt is made to scare the hell out of people by threatening it. This tactic has power, particularly with the illiterate, and children. So, punishment was exchanged from the real in this life, to the post-mortem. We all know we are gonna die, so the church concentrates it's power in the afterlife.

If someone can be made to believe that there is an afterlife,(which is not a hard thing to do) than that someone can DETERMINE that afterlife.

Im not disputing an afterlife, I dispute who has CONTROL in it. If we can be free men in life, we can be free in death. As above, so below. Nature dictates this.

In one of Hitler's last dictations, when he knew that a 1000 year reich was not gonna happen, he plugged for the future. His power in realtime was waning and he tried to invest in the future by making a few phropecies. This was an attempt to maintain some sort of legacy, or power in death. Alot of folks do this to one extreme or another, and most of this is done in innocence, and not arrogance. When he could not control people in life, he tries to control them in death. Some religions do this by exploiting an individual's insecurity in the matter.

When I say these things it becomes obvious to certain believers that they do not have control of my mind. At this time, those types re assure themselves by postulating the idea of God hardening my heart for their own test. Another words a person who disagrees is disagreeing for a reason. THIER reason. They cant FATHOM the idea of someone else not fitting into the same pair of Pants, so it is reasoned that God made non-belivers as pawns to test their own faith against. This is selfishness that I eluded to in another post.

A: I see many wars and rebellions still goin on this day all because of rediculous religous beliefs!!! So how can this be good?? All it does is cause dispute!! IF otheres are believing something different, it just causes arguing and ultimately fighting!! How is this a good thing. The KKK still do work in the name of Christianity,, is that good?? It is a very big cult ,, PERIOD!!!!! Enjoy this life people,, its the only one!!!!
