Hello, guest
Name: Perceptions  •  Title: Do CHRISTIANS & MUSLIMS believe in the SAME JESUS?  •  Date posted: 03/15/07 0:14
Q: ASKING SERIOUSLY;

Both Christians and the Muslims are BELIEVERS of A JESUS.

1- They say he was born of a Virgin.
2- Had Miraculous powers
3- Was crucified
4- Will come back

Now for the FIRST THREE OPTIONS, it makes NO EFFECT on anybody's health, if they believe, otherwise, PRECISELY...
....Jesus was not born of a virgin; his miracles were not astounding,he survived crucifixion and travelled away to preach .

BUT,

For the LAST OPTION,..GENERALLY;

BOTH ARE EXPECTING A JESUS, WITH DIFFERENT TASKS TO PERFORM FOR THE PRESENT WORLD AND RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS, ........ISN'T IT SO.......

(...with some expcetions in both categories)

I expect serious replies :-)

A: I do not know why you wish someone to reply to a question that appears to me to be centered on religious doctrine. I was not under the impression that this forum was dealing with religious doctrines, or religious in-fighting.

I do not think that this forum is concerned with the IN-FIGHTING between Ahmadi Muslims and Sunni Muslims [You're an Ahmadi...right?]. Also, I do not think this forum is interested in a comparsion between Ahmadis on the one side, and Christians and Sunni Muslims on the other.

I do not think that this forum is trying to determine, "Who is the Promised Messiah & Mahdi." This forum is centered on a discussion about the Jesus Family Tomb.

Now, the issue of the Tomb of Jesus in India IS relevant at this forum, and perhaps you'd like to give us some input on that issue. That issue is relevant, because it's obviously saying something different than what the Jesus Family Tomb people are saying.

Please do not burden people here with religious in-fighting, doctrines, or trying to tell the people here about, "The Case of the Missing Messiah." (I saw that film). There are plenty of forums where Ahmadi Muslims and Sunni Muslmis can go fight FOREVER about who the Messiah is and who the Messiah ain't. I ask you this kindly. I have no power here. I'm just a contributor, like you.

But I've seen the debates between Ahmadis and Sunnis, and I would ask you NOT to bring that stuff here and end up flooding this nice forum with Ahmadis and Sunni "arguments," thus DESTROYING this forum and reducing it to nothing. Please, take that stuff somewhere else.

A: I have read your other posts too/

And ait seems you JUDGING people here too, while imposing your own opinions on them at the same time . Huh

Should Ibe an Ahmedi if I become convinced of the evidences of the TOJ?

Yet your position is clear .

It's a question on general basis and you are NOT REQUIRED EVERYWHERE!

A: Nate ! get hold, It's you who is provoking.

Yes it seems the JESUS expected is of different role or perheps same in sense, i.e, to fight back the false doctrine.

A: Let's assume that TWO different Jesuses descend and SHAKE HANDS before landing!

It's better than ONE who provoke FIGHTING in , already FIGHTING people. lol

A: I'm pretty sure that, Muslims don't believe Jesus was crucified. They believe he just rose to heaven.

A: VERY IMPORTANT - SEE BELOW - email of JOE ZIAS, March 1, 2007 - CAN SOMEONE VERIFY THIS AS BEING THE GENUINE EMAIL FROM JOE ZIAS, if it is, then this is critical news ( Note: I am not the author of the following excerpt , The Naked Bone Hunter )

Time magazine again reports: "Asbury Theological Seminary professor Ben Witherington, a early Christianity expert who was deeply involved with the James Ossuary, says there are physical reasons to believe it couldn't have originated in the Talpiot plot." Following the lead of Time, I did my own detective work and checked out Ben Witherington's blogspot (see, www.benwitherington.blogspot.com).

Witherington claims: "Joe Zias is a fine archaeologist of long standing and good reputation. He is the person who catalogued the ten ossuaries from the Talpiot tomb, and personally catalogued the tenth ossuary. He worked with Amos Kloner as part of the team who made the original discovery. In two emails this morning to someone I have been talking to he made crystal clear that the tenth ossuary was blank, certainly was not the James ossuary at all despite the assertions of those involved in making the (Vision TV) special. These emails have been sent along to me, and I will let them speak for themselves.

Joe Zias [email protected]: Subject: Re: Jesus Tomb Sent: Thursday, March 1, 2007 6:02 AM

"Amos Kloner is right as I received and catalogued the objects, the 10th was plain and I put it out in the courtyard with all the rest of the plain ossuaries as was the standard procedure when one has little storage space available. Nothing was stolen nor missing and they were fully aware of this fact. It just didn't fit in with their agenda." Shalom, Joe.

The filmmakers were fully aware that the tenth ossuary in the so-called "Jesus family tomb" was blank, but it didn't fit in with their agenda. So they deliberately misled viewers with a spurious assertion that this was the James ossuary
END OF EXCERPT

CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THIS WITH JOE ZIAS ?

A: The simple answer that question is Yes, It's one in the same Jesus. They're ideas of how he "died" or 'didn't die" as the case may be, are somewhat different...
