Hello, guest

Q: Tha last King of Judah was Yehoyakhin. Some will argue that his grandson Zerubavel [ in Babylon] was made King, but he was not made a King but only a person of limited authority over the people.

Documented writings [ Menton, Hamburger, Weinstock, Dayan, Abarbanel ] show no genealogical connection to Jesus. This creates a genealogical gap in Mattiyahu of 300 years. It appears the writer added names that are not recorded anywhere for validation. Luke apparently observed this error by Mattiyahu in attempting a Davidic line and created the genealogical Davidic line of Mary to compensate for the error, but Luke's list also falls short 300 years of genealogy and he also added other unvalidated names. So neither Jesus or Mary were from the Davidic line.

A: Shlomo, You stated that neither Jesus nor Mary were from the Davidic line. Do you by any chance know what line they descend from? I must admit, I too thought Zerubbabel was made King. Thanks for the info. Take care now.
