Title: He Shall See His Seed? •

Q: The hebrew word for "seed" used in the Isaiah verses always refers to physical descendents in Jewish scriptures [e.g. Gen.12:7; Gen. 15:3; Gen.46:6 Ex. 28:43], the word "sons" is used to refer to spiritual descendents [Deut. 14:1 etc.]. So it appears very probable that Jesus did have children.

A: Awesome post. My bet is that no one here will tackle this one. If they do they will simply twist the hebrew to say something else that it really doesnt.

A: How true. When people are fixated on a certain belief or outcome, they will see only what they want to see and ignore everything else. Perception is everything.

A: I'll have to check your numbers on that; I've seen some notes to the contrary in the past, but it'll be a few days before I can run a word search (If i recall it runs about two hundred times plus, so I need a number of hours to crunch the numbers, as it were; my niece is over tomorrow and Saturday, and it takes a lot to keep up with a twenty-month old, and frankly, I have a commentary I'm writing that I would like to get back to). However, that isn't critical of the theory, since there are often figurative references that are atypical, but appear in one place for shock appeal, etc.
