Title: Judah is Thomas of the NT •

Q: The idea of connecting Judah with Thomas in the gospel is absurd. John is the beloved disciple in the New Testament. Thomas died in India and his grave is still outside of Bombay,India to this day. Plus Jesus was 30ish when He died. If He had Judah at the age of 15 then Judah would only be 15 during the ministry of Jesus and not ready to run around with Jesus from place to place. Plus John was the youngest disciple, do you really think John was 14 or younger at the this time? If they were trying to protect Judah, why let him be seen with Jesus throughout the ministry years, people would recognize him as at least a disciple of Jesus which would already jeopordize him.
Plus the idea of a code name to protect the heir to the throne...that makes no sense in the NT context. The very King Himself gave up His life to establish the kingdom that is not of this world. The disciples (including Thomas) gave up there lives to advance the kingdom not of this world. To protect a son as if he is an heir of this worlds throne is absurd in the context. If Jesus had a wife and/or a son, the writers would have told us because it wouldn't have made much of a difference if Jesus was married because as Simcha said, it was the union of one flesh in GODS eye.
If you are thinking "Maybe Judah was Thomas and he was an earthly heir and they lied about him going to India and faked his death there to protect him in Jerusalem for the legacy sake," then you are truly grasping onto thin air for stability.

A: Neither Judah or Thomas where Yeshua's children, those are actually both names or nicknames for one of his brothers...
Judah was the 3nd brother of Yeshua, 4rd born. Folklore says that he looked so much like Yeshua that at some points he was called "The Twin" even when Yeshua had already a twin, Ya'cov (James).

A: I have to agree. Thomas has disappeared. In the biblical story Thomas, the doubter, disbelieved Jesus. That is to be His satan. Satan simply means disbeliever. Perhaps he was the 'Judas' of the bible story. Perhaps Thomas hung on the cross and Thomas, the twin, of Jesus became his betrayer to the truth. The truth that Jesus survived. Who knows? As for John the beloved. John was an Essene master. Only a Master, a christ, could have created the Book of Revelations. Both of them. What a powerful companion of Jesus. John would have been the onl y one to make such a comment in John 3:16. Only a Christ, a Master, could make such a judgement. But in the Gospel, John seems to be pointing to another beloved one. A child. Who better to betray Jesus but his own son Juda. The child of Jesus. That's why jesus appears as a child in the Gospel of Judas. Makes sense as it is all revealed in time.

A: Hello xzahk
The identity of this disciple in not a secret. or a mystery! The identity of this person is plainly stated in the gospel of John. So, I find the speculation on this matter rather surprising and odd. Read the gospel of John chapter 11 verses 3 and 36.
1Now a certain man was sick, named LAZARUS, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother LAZARUS was sick.)
3Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, HE WHOM THOU LOVEST is sick....
