Q: They claim to find Jesus' Tomb. They say archaeologists, forensics experts, statisticians, etc. have COME TOGETHER to decipher "one of the greatest mysteries of all time"
sounds more like a circus advertisement to me.
Look at the motives...Follow the money...Do your own research, believe me there are tons of debates, theories, findings...you name it. The truth will reveal itself, no one will have to go digging it up.
I have a Question:
WHY, IF YOU SAY YOU PAY ATTENTION TO CLOSE DETAIL, DO YOU HAVE ON A WEB SITE INTRO PAGE A CLAIM THAT "An incredible archaeological discovery in Israel changes history and shocks the world. Tombs with the names The Virgin Mary, Jesus of Nazareth, Mary Magdalene and Judas, their son, are found and an investigation begins."
HUH?
DID YOU SEE THAT

OK...THEN WHY INSIDE THE SAME SITE IT SAYS;
"Ossuary 80/505 was inscribed “Maria” – a Latinized version of the name “Miriam,” rendered in Hebrew letters. AND Ossuary 80/500: “Mariamene e Mara” – “Mariamne, also called Master”
BUT WAIT THE INTRO PAGE SAID "...The Virgin Mary..."
AND "...Mary Magdalene.." NAMES FOUND
HOW MISLEADING (TISK TISK TISK)
Oh...and if this were a court of law (and since they use legal nomenclature)
CREDIBILITY is something you need. I found a little dent in that armor. I'm sure with your own searching you will find some too.

A: so you are quoting correctly then? so you are quoting straight from the gospel before it was ripped apart? You want to be correct get "those" texts and be correct, but the meaning behind what i had posted was that no one is correct, no one has the right to point fingers but for your information you didn't even read what i wrote, I was asking you a favor and you if you were such a servant and my friend like you say i am then why didn't you help me?

I mean they could have been non believers but they are not, that should mean something shouldnt it, so why couldent this be the tomb? where did their bodies go? it had to go somewhere The bible was written by man yes i agree that it was influenced by god but humans are humans proven that they are capable of telling half truths and total lies, but some are total saints but that is few and far between even then.
Keep an open mind this film and this whole experience may change lives for the better make believers out of the non try looking for good at things instead of making things so negative so what if this is real it would be great if it was and if it was not then we will learn from it and become better people, but don't drown peoples hope, in this day in age that all that some people has but good always comes out even out the darkest parts of anyones life I have looked at your page its very informative I am open to new suggestions even ones that seem farfected I am a questioning person willing to learn everything but I also like to challenge people to look inside themselves even for a brief moment, My questions may seem buttholish but that is the only way to get to know people for who they are, it seems to bring them out of their shell,.
please save the scripture throwing and talk to me drop the preacher mask for a minute and talk to me normal that is all I am asking I have had enough scripture throwing in my life, I grew up in a penticostal church/ home later baptist ( I have nothing aginst these religions or any other to me you can learn beautiflul things in everything) yes I am fully aware that I only used half of the scripture but the meaning behind it was there , so I ask of you which is more important the words of the scripture or the meaning? to me it would be meaning, one would suggest you need all the words to get the full meaning but if the meaning is there in just the few short words then why not use it in that way?
so now talk to me and everyone else don't attack with scripture and expect to change lives for the good, thats what got me and allot of others out of church I felt like i was under attack and not allowed to question and learn.
not to be funny but I was having memories of my abusive childhood with all this scripture attack that is why I responded the way I was I felt threaten, then everyone could say ignore it but for some reason ( prob the memories) kept me going I want to hear you as a person not a attacker

The writing is on the wall, concerning this money making scheme. Dozens of archeologists and scholars have already concluded that the Talpiot tomb belonged to a middle class family and is in no way connect to Jesus of Nazareth. Everything is well documented and is out there for people to find...That's why I say;

As far as scripture is concerned, it is the word of GOD. Infallible however misused and misinterpreted by many people because of chronological, geographical, linguistical, ethical, cultural, spiritual and literary gaps in understanding, just to name a few.
And finally... sometimes when we live in disobedience, God's truth hurts. When we live in obedience to what Jesus Christ taught, the Word of God is like a sweet music to our ears. I live it. You should too. It's a beautiful place...and if you do... praise God!

A: Assuming the topic of this thread is the Second Coming...
Physically, this is the only second coming I think we can get. Spiritually, I believe the second coming would have to be via a reworking of the message of Jesus, a shifting closer to the source. The Chevron and Circle is a step. An emphasis on gnostic Gospels, another. In combination with Taoistic notions, yet another. Will East and West finally meet? Will our Globe unite? Perhaps not a safe bet, but possibly.
A common humanity would be nice, no?

Who were you refering to?if they had followed up on the discovery the whole world would have kown about the tomb in 1980 and everything might have been handled differently.It could have become a place for holy pilgramage.The Talpiot tomb is the real tomb of Jesus and his family.The evidence proves it.Read the book The JESUS FAMILY TOMB.It's very detailed.

A: I found that when people say that this tomb "could not be the tomb of Christ as he was ressurected," this puts limitations on the almighty God, God can do anything he wants, he could give him a new body, or a more permiable one, those bones could be his, and I think possibly are. God is all powerful, he won't break his own laws though!
