Kloner-,- of Bar Ilan University, also has concerns about a second burial cave filmed for the documentary.
The movie says that researchers discovered this "second, as-yet unexplored tomb" near the original site and that their camera crews filmed the "first ever recorded footage of an undisturbed burial cave from Jesus' time." [- DECEPTION/LIE
However, Kloner said, he personally excavated the second cave years ago and managed to extricate one of its eight sarcophagi before protests by ultra-Orthodox Jews shut down the dig.
"The filmmakers combined this cave with the other and lowered a camera inside just so that they would have a story," Kloner said.
"And you know what? That was really out of line."

My world is crumbling! I put so much FAITH in Simcha and his cronies and now I find out he would mislead his flock!!! I am so depressed I will have to have 2 Starbucks today to get back on track! I can't imagine why Simcha or anyone related to this "study" would have to misrepresent or distort facts!!! Surely he is an altruistic man only in search of the truth. Surely he would have presented his "find" in a responsible manner like any good scientist!

A: Was Simcha supposed to control everything related to this discovery?.Was he responsible for all the events? I say No--we can't control everything.He wrote a fascinating book about the biggest archeological find of all time.The second cave has not been excavated.They sent robots which transmitted pictures back to them.I would like to know if the people buried there were related to Jesus or if they were from a different family.Also there are alot of tombs in that area.Most of those people have been reburied in a cemetary set aside for the remains found in the ossuaries.Isreal's population is growing and the land is needed by the living so progress overrules keeping the sites of historic value untouched.If they had only more time to study these tombs.....!

A: I hope people will keep out the personal attacks on Simcha. He did what was right. and exposed these discoveries. The Shroud of Turin seems to be a fake by most objective experts. I know Christians hold on to the hope that the Shroud is real and this tomb is a fake, but I think in time we will find just the opposite. Christianity is filled with paganism and myths. Let's strip all that away and find out the truth. Jews and Christians will all have to be prepared for whatever the truth is, but these blind posts calling people names and automatically saying scholars believe this or that when tests are still being conducted seem premature.

A: The people who seem like their world is crumbling and seem to be absolute lunatics on this site are Christians who are trying to tell people in desperate measures that this tomb is a fake. They are scared to death it may hurt Christianity and that's why they are keeping this blog alive with their posts trying to say it's not true. What is true is that Jesus was Jewish. He believed in Judaism. He believed in Torah.

A: I have read the book, and I watched both the television program and the Koppel (sp?) discussion that was held after the TV program. If what 'Sadinoel' has stated is correct, that the second tomb (which the camera was dropped down into) had been opened previously and Kloner had removed one of the ossuaries, then it seems to me it would be prudent to first ask Simcha if he knew Kloner had done that before the program/book/etc was completed.
If it had been opened and the producers knew it, I would be disappointed. But I would ask first before presuming any intentional deception. If it was purely unintentional, then so be it...it might be regrettable, but it would be forgivable. Either way, the second tombs existence is, it seems to me, incidental to any potential significance of the actual 'Jesus' tomb.

I know what you mean, drugs like coffee, ease the pain, when those who seem well meaning, 's stories, seem neglectful somehow, if only a view could emerge from the wreck, unbiased, to guide us onto truth.
Compare office managers, or anyone who else would hypmatize.
Look for those rare beings, who start by ranting their own shortcomings, wierd yes, but at least not misleading, and who would not wrest your honest earnings.
Ask yourself if you've labored sacredly, and give not onto those who have not sweat brow or bowed back, in a manner similar to yours.

A: As soon as the facts are accepted it will be easier to handle.This has a great deal of impact and is a difficult for people who believed something so long to have to see it differently.I don't feel that Simcha lied and the evidence is very strong in favor of the truth.And it's quite apparant that they found the tomb,ossuarries and remains of Jesus's family and might have to change physical resurrection to a spiritual one just like all the rest of us when we pass from our lives.

Just from the STYLE of Simcha, and the excellence of his rhetoric, I am seduced as I so want to be. But I also know (hard won) that seduction is partly the art of leaving out the unwanted or inconvenient aspect of your wares.
Haha! Time will tell.
