Hello, guest
Name: vvk  •  Title: New York Becomes Sixth State to Pass Gay-Marriage Law  •  Date posted: 06/25/11 23:30
Q: June 25 (Bloomberg) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo’s bill to give gay couples the right to wed was approved by New York lawmakers, making the U.S. state the sixth and most-populous to legalize same-sex marriage.

Question:
What is Islam's position on homosexuality?

Summary Answer:
Islamic law teaches that homosexuality is a vile form of fornication, punishable by death. Beneath the surface, however, there are implied references to homosexual behavior in paradise, and it has been a part of historical Arab and Muslim culture.

The Qur'an:
Qur'an (7:80-84) - "...For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.... And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)" - An account that is borrowed from the Biblical story of Sodom. Muslim scholars through the centuries have interpreted the "rain of stones" on the town as meaning that homosexuals should be stoned, since no other reason is given for the people's destruction. (The story is also repeated in suras 27 and 29).

Qur'an (7:81) - "Will ye commit abomination such as no creature ever did before you?" This verse is part of the previous text and it establishes that homosexuality as different from (and much worse than) adultery or other sexual sin. According to the Arabic grammar, homosexuality is called the worst sin, while references elsewhere describe other forms of non-marital sex as being "among great sins."

Qur'an (26:165-166) - "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing"

Qur'an (4:16) - "If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, Leave them alone"

Interestingly, the same rules don't apply in paradise, where martyrs for the cause of Allah enjoy an orgy of virgins and "perpetual youth" Qur'an (56:17) (otherwise known as "boys" Qur'an (52:24)). Qur'an (76:19) bluntly states, "And immortal boys will circulate among them, when you see them you will count them as scattered pearls." Technically, the mere presence of boys doesn't necessarily mean sex, however it is strongly implied from the particular emphasis on the effeminacy, handsomeness and "freshness" of the boys. The female virgins of paradise are also compared to pearls (56:23).

[Editor's note: We are not implying a link between homosexuality and pedophilia here anymore than we are implying one between heterosexuality and pedophilia when mentioning that Muhammad's preferred wife was a 9-year-old girl.]

From the Hadith:

There are several lesser hadith stating, "if a man comes upon a man, then they are both adulterers," "If a woman comes upon a woman, they are both Adulteresses,” "When a man mounts another man, the throne of God shakes,” and “Kill the one that is doing it and also kill the one that it is being done to."

Abu Dawud (4462) - The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.".

Abu Dawud (4448) - "If a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to death." (Note the implicit approval of sodomizing one's wife).

Bukhari (72:774) - "The Prophet cursed effeminate men (those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners of women) and those women who assume the manners of men, and he said, 'Turn them out of your houses .' The Prophet turned out such-and-such man, and 'Umar turned out such-and-such woman."

al-Tirmidhi, Sunan 1:152 - [Muhammad said] "Whoever is found conducting himself in the manner of the people of Lot, kill the doer and the receiver."

Reliance of the Traveller, p17.2 - "May Allah curse him who does what Lot's people did." This is also repeated in three other places.

Additional Notes:

When Mehmed conquered Constantinople in 1453, the Muslim general demanded the 14-year-old son of one of the city's Christian leaders as his sexual concubine (the father and son chose death instead). Subsequent Ottoman administrators also engaged in homosexuality, often with the boys of conquered populations who could not afford to satisfy the jizya (poll tax on non-Muslims) in any other way than to relinquish their own children to the Religion of Peace.

And yet, homosexuals have been beheaded, hung and stoned in modern Saudi Arabia and Iran, where Muhammad's laws are applied most strictly. Five other Muslim countries also have the death penalty on their books for homosexual behavior. In the past, gays were burned as well. As one cleric recently put it, the only point of theological debate is over how the offender should be killed.

Thus illustrates the moral confusion that Islam has with homosexuality. There are several places in the Qur'an where the story of Sodom is repeated, with emphasis placed on the destruction of the town for homosexual lewdness. Also, according to Serge Trifkovic:

Mohammed’s first successor Abu Bakr reportedly had a homosexual burned at the stake. The fourth caliph, Mohammed’s son-in-law Ali, ordered a sodomite thrown from the minaret of a mosque. Others he ordered to be stoned. One of the earliest and most authoritative commentators on the Koran, Ibn ‘Abbas (died 687) blended both approaches into a two-step execution in which “the sodomite should be thrown from the highest building in the town and then stoned. (source)

Although some Muslim political leaders in the West join with social liberals in alliances that occasionally include peripheral support for gay rights and civil unions, this appears to be more a matter of expediency than genuine concern. There has never been any noticeable effort on the part of Muslim leaders in the West to relieve the plight of homosexuals in Islamic countries overseas - where their influence would surely carry more weight than that of their secular allies.

A: What is honor killing?

Honor killing is the bone chilling horrific cruelty committed by the family members—father, mother, brothers, brother-in-laws, even in some cases own sisters also. In this terrible episode the victim is always the daughter/sister or other blood related young women who get killed. Perpetrators are always the family members stated above. Family honor is one of the core values of Arab society. Anything from speaking with an unrelated man, to rumored pre-marital loss of virginity, to an extra-marital affair, refuses forced marriages; marry according to their will; or even women and girls who have been raped—can stain or destroy the family honor. Therefore, family members (parents, brothers, or sisters) kill the victim in order to remove the stain or maintain, and protect the honor of the family. Killers are given light sentences, sometimes with little or no jail time at all. The killers mainly defend their act of murder by referring to the Koran and Islam. Family guardian will say that they are merely following the directives set down in their Islamic ethical beliefs.
Honor killing is committed by the family members - father, mother, brothers, brother-in-laws and even in some cases sisters

These barbaric killings occur only to save the honor of the family, and not for any animosity or for wealth or gold. In 100% of cases—the killers have no animosity, rather they love the girl as their own daughter or sister, but they kill the girl anyway upon their ethical compulsion to save their family honor, or to erase family stigmas. The victims cry, beg for their life but the family members become merciless (out of their ethical prejudices and also religious burden of fear) and kill the victim. After killing family members usually mourn and cry for the victim (usually loving daughter or sister) but feel solace that they have done the right thing to save their family honor.
And this kind of cruel killings to save family honor had happened, still happening, and will remain to happen—only to a Muslim family. Honor killings happen only to some designated Muslim nations such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, the Gaza strip and the West Bank (Palestine), Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Somalia, Turkey, Iran and some other south and central Asian countries. Bangladesh though a Muslim majority country—regular pattern of honor killings never happened as of today. But it is not unknown or impossible to record some stray incidences in Bangladeshi rural Muslim family (only) in which girl was poisoned by family members, or asked to commit suicide after being impregnated by unwed sexual intercourse. However, this same kind of case history was never heard, or recorded in the non-Muslim family of Bangladesh

A: Sibling rivalries: Three men butcher and bury sister in courtyard

By Kashif Zafar
Published: November 16, 2011
BAHAWALPUR:
Three men were arrested on charges of having murdered their sister on Tuesday.

According to police officials, Patafi Colony Sardar Garah residents Abdul Sattar, Shakeel Ahmed and Mohammad Saleem allegedly butchered their sister Shameem and then buried her body in their court yard. Police officials said that a servant who worked at the house tipped them off and they arrived at the scene to investigate on Tuesday morning.

“He told us that he had been forced to help them dig the grave and then cover the courtyard with marble,” investigation officer Hazoor Buksh said. “We broke apart the marble in their courtyard and found the corpse. The woman had been mutilated and the body had been decapitated,” he said.

A neighbour, Irfan, told police officials that the accused suspected Shamim of having relations with another resident of the village. “They had been arguing about the incident for days. We heard them accuse her for several days and they had loud fights but eventually it all stopped,” he said. “On Monday night I went to visit Shamim to see if she was okay but Saleem told me that she had gone to see her aunt in Gujranwala,” Batool Bibi told police.

“They accused her of having an affair and told her that they would kill her and the man she was seeing. Saleem said that he had seen them walking together in the village and that she had dishonoured the family,” a servant at the house told the police.

“They took pains to cover up the body. They buried her in their own courtyard but covered the entire surface with marble. We would never have thought to look here if we hadn’t been told about it,” Rukanpur investigation officer Hazoor Buksh told reporters that police had filed an FIR under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code and had sent the body for an autopsy.

“The girl was brutally tortured and killed with an axe. They decapitated the body and then buried her,” said a DHQ Hospital doctor.

“We are conducting DNA tests and so far all the evidence points to the three brothers,” Buksh said. “The three men have been taken into custody but we are waiting for the full details of the MLC report to be released,” he added.

A: ‘Honour’ killing: Man and his friends axe his wife
Mukhtar and 7 of his friends killed his wife after he declared her as ‘kari’.
Published: November 10, 2011

RAHIM YAR KHAN:
A man axed his wife with the help of his friends after declaring her to be a ‘kari’ on Wednesday.

Police officials have arrested the accused.

According to police officials, Sube Da city resident Allah Dewaya recently filed a written complaint detailing that his daughter Hajil Mai was murdered by her husband Mukhtar Ahmed. Dewaya told police officials that Mukhtar Ahmed, 22, used to torture and beat his daughter Hajil Mai. “He kept accusing her of having had an affair even though he usually kept her locked up in the house for the duration of their marriage,” he said.

On Tuesday, Ahmed allegedly announced to their neighbourhood that his wife was a ‘kari’ and had an affair with their neighbour, Waleed. Waleed is said to have fled after the accusation.

Ahmed and seven of his friends slaughtered his wife in the courtyard of their house with sickles, knives and an axe.

Police officials said that there were several eyewitnesses. “He announced what he was going to do and because he is a landlord, we were too scared to interfere. Someone called the police though,” said a local resident Ashraf.

Neighbours told police officials that a few weeks ago Mukhtar had turned his wife out of the house and she had begun staying with her parents.

“He brought her back home a week ago but locked her up again,” said a neighbour Nazia.

Police said that there were conflicting accounts of the murder as several villagers said that they had witnessed the slaughter and others said that the girl had committed suicide.

“We have sent the body for an autopsy,” police official Rahman said.

Malacca to amend laws to prosecute homosexuals

ALOR GAJAH: Malacca will amend its state Islamic enactment to prosecute gays and lesbians by applying the same type of Syariah legal mechanism used against deviant Muslim sects.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said homosexuals and lesbians could be tried at the Syariah Court once the enactment was gazetted as Syariah law.

“We will revise the current enactment to specifically deal with homosexuals and lesbians in the state, including groups that promote such uncanny sex,” he said here yesterday.

Mohd Ali, who is also Malacca Islamic Religious Department chairman, said the enactment had to be revised as there was no specific law at present to prosecute such groups.

“We will suggest the enactment to also cover bisexuals and transsexuals,” he said, adding that action could also be taken against any non-governmental organisation promoting and supporting such sexual practices.

“We don't want such unsavoury culture creeping in and damaging the moral fabric of our society,” Mohd Ali said.

Separately, he called on Sisters in Islam to drop the word “Islam” from its name as he claimed the NGO had been frequently issuing contradicting and confusing statements on Islam.

A: Hi Sam

The reason I post two post above , it relate with the question i'm going to ask you.

in your other post you state that

Q- 42:49 To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; HE CREATES WHAT HE WILLS. HE GIVES TO WHOM HE WILLS FEMALE [children] , AND HE GIVES TO WHOM HE WILLS MALES [children]

{ Here, we see the truth that we have no power in choosing the gender of our children, male or female. Of course we will accept them , boys or girls, and we as PARENTS should give them both the same love and care, BECAUSE THEY WILL BE THE MEN AN THE WOMEN, AND THE PARENTS OF THE FUTURE GENERATIONS. }

Its mean Allah decide for the gender of our children, we have to accept them. boys or girl or ever gay or lesbian. it's up to Allah.

Why some Muslim countries they have so strictly law for gay and lesbian?

They are still human, of course they have to have friend for their life. they have right to find the pleasure. It's not hurt any one

in some countries why they must die they do not do anything criminal? But it happened far back in Islam history.

If in our family have one son or daughter or grand kids gay and lesbian we will understand more. they have right to live too.

for example the case of gay Saudi prince.

just tell me your personal about those . thank you very much. i honestly like to know , it not mean i think bad about Islam.

A: V V K,
Good morning.

This time, I start reading your post, but only after few lines I stopped, because I knew what you are going to bring from storie. You try to collect stories from single accurance, from the east and the west, and it is your way to spread the word that Islam is a horrible religion. it is the same all the time.

Every time I do explain to you how wrong you are, but you do not understand, or you don't want to understan because of the hates which fills your heart and your brain.

Before you attack Islam religion, first look at your own religion, and the Hindu, and the Christian religions, and see what all of them holds from wrong teachings. The last example was about adultry in Buddhism [If it is acceptable in Buddhismto have sex for a price , then it is Ok to do it all the time even without price.]

A good example:
Algerian Muslims fought a war with France for many decades, but the Muslim girls and women were protected by their Islamic laws, and they never give themselves to be a sex object for the French. On the other side, in VIETNAM the Vietnamese Buddhists girls and women gave themselves to the American in an open market [NO HONOR WHATSOEVER], and I brought this piece from the NET as a proof:

"However, thousands of half Vietnamese half-American children were left behind. With their fathers ordered back home, who was left to protect their little children? The Vietnamese mothers, after their American protectors left, were almost all living in dire poverty. These women were forced to do what women have had to resort to through the millenia { to became a prostitute} : find a husband to support them. These new husbands usually didn't want their new wives' funny-looking children. The children, with their round eyes and other markers of foreign parentage, were often abandoned at the doors of orphanages, or simply thrown out into the streets to fend for themselves.

The Amerasian children grew up shunned by Vietnamese society. They were made fun of by other children, called "half-breed dogs" and other taunting names. They were often physically assaulted. Living on the streets as beggars, they weren't able to attend school, and so faced the future as illiterate and unskilled adults."

V V K, Can you see the different between the Muslim country and the Buddhist country ? , can you understand that the HONOR in islam which saved the women and the girls from having children to become a casts-out in their societies and to suffer in all their life ?

I DON'T THINK THAT ANY DUMB AND IGNORANT PERSON WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HONOR MEAN IN ISLAM, THAT IS THE TRUTH.

You said, "Family honor is one of the core values of Arab society."
"ARAB SOCIETY" !!!
I say to you, you are Wrong , because you miss 3 things:
1- Family honor is the core value for all the Muslims, all around the world, AND NOT ONLY ARAB.
2- Family honor is also taught by the Jews, and by the early Christians, since Jesus was a Jew, and asked the people to keep the laws and the commandments.

COMMANDMENT (7) - YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.
{Go to the Bible and read about their punisments}
3- Family honor should be taught by all those who really care about their families, their mothers, sisters, daughters.

V V K, When you attack the Islam and the Jews religions for bringing laws to protect their families, that only means that in your religion , the Buddhism, that you do not believe in the honor of your families !!!. FAMILY HONOR MEANS NOTHING TO THE BUDDHISTS. THAT IS TRUE WHEN YOU COMPARE THE MUSLIM SOCIETY WITH THE BUDDHISM SOCIETY.

ALSO, that means that it is acceptable to you as Buddhist that your mother and your sister and your daughter TO BE free to have sex with anyone at any time ???. OR IF NOT, THEN WHAT YOU DO ?, A SLAP ON THE FACE ?, CAN THAT STOP THEM FROM DOING IT AGAIN AND AGAIN ?.

Islam AND JEWDAISM brought this punishment to stop people from doing the wrong things , and it is a great lesson for those who think about it, AND FOR ANYONE TO THINK TWICE BEFORE DOING SUCH AN ACT.

Adultery punishment in the Bible [the holy book of the Jews and the Christians*] is stoning to death. As for killing the punishment is death too, not jail.

*Christianity developed by the churches after the death of Jesus, and it is teaching came mostly from Paul and the scribes who wrote the Gospels many years after Jesus death, and while they take the Bible as their holy book they do not follow it is teachings. Please read what I sent to you to understand this fact.

In the USA & Canada we hear a lot about men who killed their wives and their lovers when discovering it. and we hear a lot about father you does sex with their children boy and girls even with girls as little as five years old, and those are Christians , but YOU V V K, are blind to see anything except of the storie about Islam, {I don't want to use other words to discribe you, you should know yourself by now]

V V K, You mention "HONOR KILLING", AND THAT IS VERY WRONG, because the killings of ONE KILLER OR AN ADULTERER, has nothing to do with honor, but it is to fulfil the laws, and the laws here came from God.

You should know that today and in the 21st century our society is governed by laws, and the laws became softer and softer, and the laws to kill a killer became a period in the jail , and the killier live better life than those homeless who live in the street and hardly got a good meal. But the killer will be free soon to kill or steal again, AND THE SAME FOR THOSE WHO DO SEX CRIMES. AND THE CRIME ON THE RISE, AND GOOD PEOPLE LIVE IN FEAR.

V V K, You think that todays laws better than God's laws.
WHICH BETTER, TO KILL A KILLER , JUST ONE PERSON TO SAVE MANY LIVES, OR NOT TO KILL THE KILLER AND WATCH MANY GOOD PEOPLE DIE ?.

WHAT IS BETTER TO KILL ONE ADULTERER , OR GIVE THE GREEN LIGHT THAT ADULTERY IS OK, AND ACCEPTABLE ?.

V V K , You only try to find anithing to attack Islam, what about Christianity, Buddhaism and Hinduism. please read the following from the NET too.

"Widows in India still undergo ritual humiliations and extreme ostracism; conditions that several new programs are seeking to redress.

CHENNAI, India (WOMENSENEWS)--When Mohini Giri wants to describe the hardships of widows living along the banks of the Ganges, she tells the story of Shanta Bai.

When Bai was 5 years old her shoulders drooped under the weight of her bridal garland. But according to Giri, a widows' advocate, the little girl could hardly have imagined what burdens lay ahead. Her uncle had pocketed Rs.300($6.55) by marrying her off to a 36 year old.The husband died four years later, leaving Bai a9-year-old widow.

Now 85, says Giri, Bai hobbles down the streets of Vrindavan, a city in the north of India, her gnarled fingers cupping a broken bowl, begging for her living while she waits for death to claim her.

Bai is one the estimated 33 million widows in India, the country with the largest widow population in the world. At least 20,000, like Bai, sit on the banks of the river Ganges and beg for alms.
{That is only one part of India !!!!!, 20 000 !!!!}
Vrindavan and Varanasi, holy cities in the north of India and two of the country's most sought-after pilgrim centers, have become home to the husbandless."

V V K, OPEN YOUR EYES AND YOUR MIND TO SEE THE TRUTH, AND TRY AT THE LIST TO BE FAIR.

Have a good day.

A: V V K,
Once again, I will come to ask you about the Buddhaism teachings.

I read the followings: And I am going to analyze what came, part by part.

"According to the Buddha, whatever life we lead, it has the nature of some aspect of suffering . Even if we consider ourselves happy for a while, this happiness is transitory by nature. This mean that at best, we can only find temporary happiness and pleasure in life (1).

Suffering (or unsatisfactoriness) can be distinguished in three types:
1. Suffering of suffering: this refers to the most obvious aspects like pain, fear and mental distress (2).
2. Suffering of change: refers to the problems that change brings, like joy disappears, nothing stays, decay and death (3).
3. All-pervasive suffering: this is the most difficult to understand aspect, it refers to the fact that we always have the potential to suffer or can get into problematic situations (4).
Even death is not a solution in Buddhist philosophy, as we will simply find ourselves being reborn in a different body, which will also experience problems (5)."

(1) - There is nothing new in this, every human being knows this fact. the is a fact that we all know.

(2) - This kind of suffering we all know about, and Buddha did not discover it.

(3) - There is nothing new here too, and everyone knows even before the time of Buddha, and those who are not Buddhist they know it too.

(4) - Did Buddha here create something new, or something that everybody knows ?.

{In Arabic it says, " and aftera long thoughts, he explained the water by water." - So, after Buddha spent years thinking about the sufferings he came to tell that the suffering is suffering.}
{Another saying , "many ways of dying, but the death is one"

(5) - HERE THE PROBLEMS:
a) - BUDDHA TELLS THAT SUFFERING WILL NEVER END, EVEN AFTER DEATH. HOW DID HE FIND OUT ?, SINCE HE WAS ALIVE WHEN HE GAVE SUCH INFORMATION, AND WE DID NOT HEAR FROM HIM AFTER HE DIED.

b) - TO BE REBORN IN DIFFERENT BODY !!!, AND KEEP SUFFERINGS, OR DIFFERENT KIND OF SUFFERINGS, THE SMART BUDDHA DID NOT TELL ABOUT THE NEW BODY AND WHAT WILL BE, ANDTHE KIND OF THE FUTURE SUFFERINGS !!!???.

V V K, What you think Buddha will be after his re-birth, a bird or an animal, and what you think about YOURSELF as becoming a monkey or dog in your other life. Do you think some of the animal around you while you walking by are your ancestors.

You believe in the evolution, and that your ancestors are the monkeys, and you should return to monkey, but gess what is in the future for you, a surprise, because since Buddha did not tell about the kind of animal that people will turn to, then the possibilities are unlimited, since there are thousands of different animal that you might join in the future.

BUDDHA TALKED ABOUT THE SUFFERINGS, WHICH ALL PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT AT ALL TIME, BUT DID BUDDHA EVER SPOKE ABOUT THE SUFFERINGS OF THOSE WHO INHERITS THE SUFFERING BECAUSE OF AN ACT IN WHICH THEY HAVE NO SAY IN, AS THE CHILDREN OF VIETNAM OR INDIA OR THAILAND, AND ALL THE OTHER CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD ?.

DID BUDDHA CAME WITH A LAW TO ILLIMINATE SUCH SUFFERINGS, OR AT LIST AND ADVICE TO PROTET THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN ?.

AS THEY SAY IN TEXAS, "NOT ENOUGH TO TALK THE TALK, BUT ONE SHOULD WALK THE WALK".
TALK IS NOT ENOUGH. A SMART LEADER OR THINKER SHOULD BRING SULUTIONS TO THE PROBLEMS, AND NOT ONLY TALK AND TALK ABOUT THE PROBLEMS.

I hope you understand all that, because the truth is no one ever came from death to tell that he became an animal after his death, NO ONE EVER.

Take care.
