Q: Religion, Science, and Maurice Bucaille
By Syed Kamran Mirza

[email protected]

Maurice Bucaille in his dishonest attempt tried to establish science in Quran. I myself read the book written by Maurice Bucaile, but could not agree with him at all. I have no clue why Islamists dishonestly claim science in Quran! There are serious scientific problems when Muslim apologists attempt to claim the presence of authentic scientific theories in Qur'an. For 1300 years, Muslim mullahs, Maulanas, Qur'ane Hafez etc. could not see any scientific theory in Qur'an. I never heard that before. It was only in eighties suddenly we heard some mullahs are widely disseminating the EUREKA' of Quranic science.

Why, Who and Where?

All Mullahs are pointing their fingers to one person- Maurice Bucaille. We are sick and tired of hearing about Maurice Bucaille again and again. Who is this Maurice Bucaille? I will answer this question later in this essay. In early eighties, I talked to one Islamic scholar (for privacy his name will be kept secrete) who is mastered in three languages (Bengali, English and Arabic). He thoroughly read and memorized entire Qur'an. I asked him if there was any real scientific theory in Qur'an. He answered, "No, there is nothing that we can call it a theory of science." I asked him if there is any medicine given by God in Qur'an. He answered, " Not really, only medicine we can think about is the HONEY." Then, in the mean time, on hearing mullahs hue & cry' about that Bucaille's EUREKA, I asked the same Islamic Scholar the same questions I asked him before. To my astonishment, this time his answer was quite different. He said, yes there are scientific theories in Qur'an and then he suggested me to read the book written by Maurice Bucaille. Then I read this book of Maurice Bucaille in English and in Bengali (translated by Akhterul Alam) couple of times. Then I read Qur'an entirely several times (both in English and in Bengali). Alas! I found nothing in the Qur'an that should be termed as science. Unfortunately, I could not agree myself with even one word that Dr. Bucaille tried to explain with his wishful thinking. Not because I did not like to agree, but could not agree, because of clear & fundamental flaws in his quest of matching things with modern science. Maurice Bucaille, not only tried to make ‘Ka' as Kalikatta, but he also some times made ‘Ka' as Bombay, Madras, Delhi etc. in his wishful quest of matching science.

Yes, there are verses that tried to answer some questions belonged to science mainly: Embryological and Astronomical field. Because, 7th Century people must have asked about the mystery of creation of human beings, Earth, Sun, moon, Stars etc. BUT, were those answers/theories fit present day science? Maurice Bucaille said it fits, so it fits for sure! Maurice Bucaille said, "I could not find a single error in the Qur'anic scientific theories", so there is no error in Qur'anic sciences, and World has to believe it?

Actually, what I found and other scientists found are: Qur'anic scientific verses matches with Aristotle and Galenic theories of Embryology and Ptolemic Geo-centric theorie of Astronomy which were prevailing almost thousand years before the arrival of Qur'an. HOWEVER, ALLTHESE THEORIES WERE PROVEN MOSTLY WRONG BY MOEDRN SCIENCE TODAY.

MAURICE BUCAILLE

Who was Maurice Bucaille? Was he a world famous scientist? Or, Was he a Nobel laureate? Or, was he an authority in theology, Embryology, or Astronomical science? ANSWER IS NONE OF THE ABOVE. Maurice Bucaillle was an ordinary French Physician and lived in Saudi Arabia as an expatriate doctor to Saudi King Family. He was not a better doctor than any of those hundreds of Bangladeshi or Indian expatriate Physicians working in Saudi Arabia. But because, he was the Physician for Saudi King Family he developed a special relation with Saudi King. To keep Dharma Bebosha' (religious trade) booming, Saudi king asked him to write a book highlighting Qur'anic science for which the King offered him $6 million dollars. Clever French Doctor wrote the book "The Bible, The Quran and Science", got $ 6 millions (from the Saudi King) and got another $ 2 millions by selling his book (according to Dr. Campbell). This book was sold in Islamic World like a hot cake. It was told that, this doctor distorted the actual translation of Holy Qur'an by intentional/selective choosing of various meanings of Arabic words in order to match his theory of scientific explanation

DR. WILLIAM F. CAMPBELL

Who is Dr. William F. Campbell? William Campbell is an American Physician who was an expatriate doctor for the family of the King of Tunisia for 20 years. After learning about the book of Dr. Bucaille, he wrote a book of 300 pages categorically rebutting Dr. Bucaille's book. I urge readers to read Dr. Campbell's book and see for themselves.

SCIENCE IS NOT PROPERTY OF ANY RELIGION

No Religion (Islam, Christian, Judaism, Hinduism etc.) can claim Science as their property. Religion should never claim any credit whatsoever, for the advancement of science. Einstein was a great scientist because of his own quality, not because of his Judaism. Ibne sinna was a scientist by virtue of his quality and not because he was a son of Muslim. Al-Razi was the greatest freethinker and greatest scientist not because he was a son of Muslim, but by virtue of his freethinking quality. Galileo was a great scientist by his knowledge and perseverance, and not because he was a son of Christian. During the reign of General Ziaul Hoque of Pakistan, this ultra Islamic General in his bid to turn the Country's clock backward, he established one Academy known as ISLAMIC SCIENCE ACADEMY. There he invited all Muslim "educated ignorant" scientists (Gun-pappi) to illustrate Qur'anic sciences. To see this madness (Pagla'mi) of this fanatic General, Dr. Parvez Hoodboy (M.I.T. educated Nuclear Physicist) wrote a book ridiculing Islamic Science Academy's caricature with pure science. In this book's forwarding letter, Pakistani Nobel laureate Physicist DR. ABDUS SALAM wrote: "There is only one Universal Science ; its problems and modalities are international and there is no such thing as Islamic Science just as there is no Hindu Science, nor Jewish Science, no Confucian Science, nor Christian Science".

Was Dr. Bucaille a greater scientist than Dr. Abdus Salam? Many Muslims sometimes claim/mention the names of Arab-Muslim scientist's achievement but they fail to mention from whom scientific knowledge were carried over to those Arab Nationals. I do not consider these Arab Muslim scientists as Mullah. Mullahs with their utter closed mindsets can never be a scientist. Nobel laureate Dr. Abdus Salam was not a Mullah. Among those ancient Muslim scientists, most of them were secular-freethinkers, and many of them were non-Arab (Central Asian) Muslims. Quite obviously they did not get science from the Religion. BECAUSE RELIGION AND SCIENCE IS LIKE OIL AND WATER, NEVER CAN MIX TOGETHER. History does not testify that any of those Arab scientists got scientific theory from Quran at all. Lots of scientists lost their lives for telling the truth. Even today, Religion is like a clutch in the neck of Science, and frequently tries to stop advancement of science. Religious Orthodoxy always confronts Science. For the last 100 years or so, biological science galloping advancement is purely on the basis of EVOLUTION THEORY OF Darwin and definitely not on the basis of CREATION THEORY of Religion. Science does not believe in CREATION theory and Religion does not believe in EVOLUTION theory. Am I correct folks?

Truth is, if Religion wants to mix-up with evolution then, we shall have to consider Adam as Ape-like Neanderthal or Homo-erectus early human, and not a perfect human having all the intelligential qualities, as the Bible or Quran described.

Some Examples of Quranic science:

In the early 1980s, Prof. Keith Moore, formerly an anatomist at the University of Toronto, Canada produced a special edition of his embryology textbook, known as ‘The Islamic edition’ which was available only in some Middle Eastern Countries. Critics think, he wrote this Islamic version of his book to make quick money by selling it to the Islamic world. This Islamic edition is not available in the western world presumably because he is aware that not only do the Islamic contributions in it contradict known science, but they also contradict what he has written in the standard version of his text book. However, his standard version of embryology text book has been widely used in medical schools of the west

Man are created from Clotted blood ?

Quran-23:14: Then fashioned We the drop (semen) a CLOT, then fashioned We the Clot a little lump, fashioned We the little lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators.

Quran-75:38: Then he becomes a CLOT; then (Allah) shaped and fashioned…

Quran-96:2: Created man, out of a mere clot of congealed blood

Blood clot can not grow into anything. This idea also came from the Greek. Aristotle erroneously believed that, humans are originated from the action of male semen upon female menstrual blood which is absolutely an incorrect assumption. Quran’s assertion on Clot (alaqa) is completely wrong about human development, since there is absolutely no stage during which the embryo consists of a clot. The only situation in which an embryo might appear like a clot is during a miscarriage, in which case the clotted blood which is seen to emerge (much of which comes from mother) is solidified and by definition no longer alive. Therefore, if ever an embryo appeared to look like a clot it would never develop any further into a human; it would be a dead mass of bloody miscarrying flesh. Since Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had some thirteen wives it is entirely possible that he would be very familiar with miscarriages.

Modern science tells us that, the formation of human embryo is a seamless continuation from conception to birth; hence there is no hard- and- fast boundary of stages as Quran described. Quran described 4 stages which matches exactly with Galenic description of development of human embryo.

EVOLUTION:

Some Islamists often try to ridicule about evolution in order to protect the obvious fallacies of the creation theory of religion. EVOLUTION is the greatest triumphs of human discovery. Evolution is not a peripheral subject but the central organizing principle of all biological science. So no one ignorant of evolution can understand science. Secondly, evolution is as well documented as any phenomenon in science, as strongly as the Earth's revolution around the sun rather than vice versa. Therefore, we can call evolution a "Fact". Today’s biological sciences are directly propagating on the basis of evolution theory of Darwin. Without believing in evolution one can not understand and agree with the modern miracles of organ transplanting, test tube bay, cloning, and sperm cells/eggs making from stem cells.

Life from WATER:

Hindu Religious book Veda' (8000 B. C.) described origin of Earth and life from WATER of the SEA. The Great Greek Philosopher and Scientist THALES (640-546 B. C.) was the first Humankind who theorized that, everything in this Universe was created from WATER OF THE SEA. Problem was, Thales could not provide any scientific proof. After that, ARISTOTLE (384-322 B.C. the pupil of Plato and Tutor of Alexander the Great) concluded: "Because of the fact that, Plants & Animal body contains plenty of WATER and life needs WATER that was why THALES thought WATER WAS THE ORIGIN OF LIFE". Therefore, Mankind did not have to wait until 7th Century for Allah to say importance of WATER for life.

HONEY:

Wish full Islamists demand that Quran predicted Honey as the good medicine. Honey although it is not a great medicine by today's context, was used by Ancient people as medicine and food for tens of thousands of years. Physicians of Pharaoh King used to prescribe Honey for diseases. In pre-Islamic Arab, PAGANS used to use HONEY widely as medicine. In India, Ayurbedic medicine widely used HONEY as the ingredients of medicine thousands of years before the arrival of Qur'an. Honey was known as Grandma's Medicine' throughout the Ancient World for thousands of years.

A: From WiKiISLAM
Dr. Bucaille's book leaves one with the impression that he (Dr. Bucaille) is convinced that Islam is the truest religion of all on earth and the Qur'an is indeed the words of Allah. Now when a person is so much convinced in a faith we naturally expect him to be a Muslim, isn't it? But Dr. Bucaille is not so stupid to follow this path. Having digested the Qur'an and the Hadith thoroughly he knew what fate awaits him (and his family) if ever he changes his mind on Islam (death for apostasy in Islam). He also realized that he could make more money if he does not convert to Islam. Therefore, until today, he is a Catholic. What bugs him to become a Muslim and follow the Qur'an, which he claims to be so divine and scientific? Being a man of science why does not he lend his ultimate allegiance to the scientific Qur'an? What answer the Islamists have for this enigma of Dr. Bucaille?

Qur'an has 114 Suras and thousands of verses. Why Dr. Bucaille deliberately chooses those verses that deal with a handful of natural phenomena? He very cleverly chooses to quote the following benign verses:

"There is no compulsion in religion." Qur'an 2:256

"(God) has not laid upon you in religion any hardship." Qur'an 22:78

This is deliberately done by him to give an impression that Islam is very merciful and tolerant religion. This is aimed at people who have very little knowledge about the real Islam (especially the western people). Does not this tactic sound like the tactics used by our new Mullahs? Dr. Bucaille cleverly avoids the political, social and the violent parts of the Qur'an. Are not political and social matters scientific too? After all, there are such subjects as political science, social science, etc. Dr. Bucaille writes that he could not find any verse in Qur'an that is against science.

If we have to believe this blatant lie emanating from his pen, then:

Hilla marriage must be scientific.
Mut'a marriage must be scientific.
Hijab must be scientific.
Having four wives at any time and plenty of concubines (possessions of the right hand) must be scientific.
Cacophony of azan (loud prayer call, a chief source of noise pollution in Islamic world) must be scientific.
Tayammum (ablution with dirt and stones) must be scientific.
Slavery must be scientific.
Death for apostasy must be scientific.
Islamic genocide (like Bangladesh) must be scientific.
Cutting off hands and feet for petty theft must be scientific.
Using stones to relieve oneself must be scientific.
Drinking the Camel's urine must be scientific.
Beating the wives to make them obedient must be scientific.
Killing infidels must be scientific.
All the actions of the Talibans must be scientific.
And so on.

If the Qur'an is scientific then why not Kama Sutra (Sanskrit treatise to love making) scientific too? Why not the Bhagavad Gita, Monu's Sanghita, the Vedas and the Mahabharata scientific? If the Hindus could generate billions of petro-dollar they can surely employ many western professors to do just that. When I was in high school, I had a devout Hindu teacher. He always used to say that Hinduism is the basis of all science. How? He used to give examples of the mention of Vimana (air craft), Garuda (probably flying saucer or space ship), Trishul Chakra (probably rotary space station), Agni Baan (ballistic missiles), etc., to prove that the Hindus knew how to make those things, which are very common in to-days world. "Do not these examples prove that Hinduism is more scientific than any other religion?" he used to say. We just used to nod our head in agreement. That was just to please him and to ensure a good mark in his subject. Dr. Bucille is there to please the Arabs, the Islamists and to make money; tons of it. He also employs another tactic. He declares that his own faith (Catholic Christianity) is not as scientific as Islam is. What a great news for our new Mullahs! There can be no news sweeter than this, no news happier than this, no news more pleasant than this. Nonetheless, he actually fools the Islamists by throwing dust in their eyes. Never does he covert to Islam. But Mullahs are too docile and cretinous not to see his stratagem. How sad.

A: Amputation, is the removal of part or all of a body part enclosed by skin.[1] Within the context of Islam, it refers to the removal of the hands or feet. This, along with beheading, flogging, stoning, and crucifixion, is a prescribed punishment in Islamic law.

All those from Qu'ran, Is Qu'ran really the word from God??? or Man.???

A: V V K,

You did your best, as well as of those Jews, Christians and Buddhists etc., who try to create lies to put down the importance of the Quran. YOU ARE WRONG, AS THOSE WHO CAME BEFORE YOU.

V V K,

Quran is not a book of science, and all educated Muslims know this fact.
The Quran is a book of SIGNS, WHICH GIVE EXAMPLE ONLY OF THINGS THAT HUMAN DO NOT KNOW, BESIDE IT IS A BOOK THAT BROUGH WITHIN LAWS TO HELP PEOPLE LIVE BETTER AND BE SAFE, AND PROTECT ALL LIVING THINGS, AND THE LAND TOO, AND THESE LAWS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN ALL THE PREVIOUS LAWS WHICH BEEN WRITTEN BY THE GREEK AND THE ROMANS, AND THE HINDUS AND BUDDHISTS, AND THE JEWS WITH THE CHRISTIANS, WHICH THIER LAWS "DO NOT MURDER" , DID NOT WORK , BECAUSE IT DID NOT BRING WITH IT THE RIGHT PUNISHMENT, AND ALL THE LIVING THINGS AND THE EARTH ITSELF ARE IN DANGER BECAUSE OF THEIR LAWS. WHAT I SAID I CAN PROVE IT TO YOU IF YOU LIKE.

V V K, you are a blind not to see the truth. Just look as the statestics of crime by the FBI, all around the world and you will see the truth. The crimes [killing stealing] are thouthand times higher in the western countries [Christinas], and far eastern coutries [Buddhists & Hindus], than of the Muslim countries, and the reason is that the Islamic laws , which give the right punishments, to prevent crimes.

V V K, you said , "Actually, what I found and other scientists found are: Qur'anic scientific verses matches with Aristotle and Galenic theories of Embryology and Ptolemic Geo-centric theorie of Astronomy which were prevailing almost thousand years before the arrival of Qur'an. HOWEVER, ALLTHESE THEORIES WERE PROVEN MOSTLY WRONG BY MOEDRN SCIENCE TODAY".

V V K, YOUR ARE NOT ONLY WRONG BUT NAIVE TOO. SORRY THAT I HAVE TO USE THEESE TERMS, BUT YOU DESERVE THEM, BECAUSE YOU KEEP BRINGING YOUR LIES SUPPORTED BY THOSE WHO BRING LIES. And saying: "Qur'anic scientific verses matches*** with Aristotle and Galenic theories ." That by itself shows that you are a naive person, who try to discredit the Quran by any way you see, by bringing false information.

*** V V K , when you claim that the Quranic verses matches with Aristotle, etc., bring your proofs. Bring their works and theories and the SIMILAR verses from the Quran, to prove that you are not just a big lier.

First, the Quran wasn't written by Muhammad, since Muhammad could not read or write, and He did not read the works of the Greeks or the Romans or the others. Besides, His knowledge about our world is the same as the knowledge of Buddha, Moses, Jesus, and the Greeks & the Romans , all of them they thought that the earth if flat and it is the center of the world and the sun with moon are moving around the earth, and they will not accept any ideas that the earth is moving IN HIGH SPEED, orbiting the sun and it is in a sphere shape, or there are people living down under on the other side, in the bottom, and they did not know that every object in their sky are going in an orbit.

Second, you said it yourself that the Greeks and the Romans THEORIES mostly were wrong, and you agree with the scientists, and you are right, while in the Quran there are no theories, but only example, and these examples proven to be right , and later on.

Q - AND YOU WILL SURELY KNOW THE TRUTH OF ITS INFORMATION AFTER TIME.

THE INFORMATION WHICH CAME IN THE QURAN CAME TO BE THE RIGHT INFORMATION LATER ON AND AFTER SOME TIME, AND THE FOLLOWINGS ARE A SOLID PROOF:

Q- 21:30 HAVE THOSE WHO DISBELIEVED NOT CONSIDERED THAT THE HEAVEN AND EARTH WERE A JOINED ENTITY, AND WE SEPARATE THEM.
Q- 51:47 AND THE HEAVEN WE CONSTRUCTED WITH STRENGTH AND WE ARE ITS EXPANDER.
Q-21:33 AND IT IS HE WHO CREATED THE NIGHT AND THE DAY AND THE SUN AND THE MOON; ALL HEAVENLY BODIES , IN AN ORBIT ARE SWIMMING.
Q-65:12 IT IS GOD WHO CREATED SEVEN HEAVENS AND THE OF THE EARTH, LIKE OF THEM.

WE CLEARLY SEE IN THOSE ABOVE VERSE THAT HOW THE UNIVERSE BEGAN . IT STARTED BY ONE ENTITY AND THEN SEPARATED [THE BIG-BANG THEORY], THEN IT KEEP EXPANDING [THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE THEORY], AND TODAY WE KNOW THAT EVERY OBJECT IN THE UNIVERSE ARE GOING IN AN ORBIT, AND WE START TO DISCOVER PLANETS, AND THERE ARE TRILLIONS OF THEM OUT THERE, AND WE FOUND FEW TODAY, BUT STILL DID NOT FIND ONE LIKE THE EARTH, BUT IS THAT PROVER THAT THERE IS NOT ANY LIKE IT ?, OR WE WILL COME TO DISCOVER "LATER ON IN TIME" MANY LIKE THEM, THE EARTH AND THE HEAVENS [THE UNIVERSES].

THAT IS WHAT THE QURAN CAME WITH FROM INFORMATION, AND THAT IS WHAT TODAY'S SCIENTISTS CAME WITH FROM INFORMATION, AND I WOULD LIKE IF YOU IF YOU BRING SIMILAR INFORMATION WHIC CAME BY BUDDHA OR KRISHNA, OR BY THE GREEKS AND THE ROMANS, OR EVEN BY ANY ONE ON THIS EARTH BEFORE THE QURAN, WHO CAME WITH SUCH INFORMATION, PLEASE DO.

PLEASE V V K , DON'T JUST THROUGH OUT WORDS, USE YOUR BRAIN AND THE LOGIC WITH THE COMMON SENSE, AND ALWAYS BRING PROOFS TO WHAT YOU CLAIM.

A: IT'S NOT FROM JEWS, CHRISTIAN, HINDU OR BUDDHIST OR ETC....IT'S FROM WHO'S BORN AND RAISED IN THE MUSLIM FAMILY. PLEASE READ BELOW:
Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Dr. Syed Kamran Mirza, the author of Roots of Islamic Terrorism and co-author of Beyond Jihad and Leaving Islam-Apostates Speak Out.

FP: Dr. Mirza, welcome to Frontpage Interview.

Mirza: Many thanks for having me at Frontpage Magazine.

FP: Let’s begin this discussion with your background and journey. You were born in a Muslim family in Bangladesh and taught there as teacher in university for many years. Tell us about your upbringing in Islam and how and why you ended up leaving your faith, the consequences etc.

Mirza: I was born in a traditional Muslim family of Bangladesh. My parents were devout Muslims and their mother tongue was Bengali. In my early childhood days, I was attending religious education every morning (6-8 am) in the Maktab (religious school in the Mosque) before I went to primary school of general education at 10 AM. There in the Maktab I learned all those Suras/rules/methods required to observe five time prayers, and also learned reading the Qur’an in Arabic. However, I never understood the meaning of any word of the Qur’an or Suras, which used to bother me very much.

I was proud and happy to be a born Muslim since I learned from Mullahs/seniors that Islam is the ultimate truth and the best religion in the whole world. The Qur’an is the infallible word of Allah, who loves only the religion Islam, and all other religions are simply false and bad; they all are “Kafirs” and destined to go to hell.

Among the peoples of the entire world, Muslims are impeccable human beings, and Allah only loves Muslims. Only Muslims are supposed to go to heaven and nobody else can enter the gate of heaven. Also, I learned from the Maulanas and Mullahs that—someday the entire world will be converted to Islam, by the master plan of Allah. Although, Mullahs told me that Allah loves Muslims or religious persons—I could never see the proper reflection of that in real life. If Allah really loves Muslims, then how could he not see distress/sufferings of the poor Muslims? One thing that was very strange to me was the fact that religion and poverty go hand in hand. I mean, poor peoples are always very deeply religious, and the rich and affluent are mostly liberal or non-religious.

During the Bangalis freedom struggle in 1971, I was shocked to discover that almost 95% of Islamists (Islamic clerics—mullahs, maulanas, Qari, Hafez, Madrassah students) were generally supporting the Pakistani Military Junta in their cruel suppression of the Bengalese freedom movement. They were killing Bangalee men, women, and children (mostly Hindus minorities) by the thousands daily throughout the country, burned thousands of homes, raped thousands of Bangalee women and looted their properties in the name of saving Islam. “Save Pakistan to save Islam” was their slogan. These fanatic Mullahs used to capture young Bangali girls (Mainly Hindus and also Muslims) and supply them to those Pakistani soldiers as Islamic booty (sex slaves) for their service to protecting Islam.
The Islamists and Mullahs told me: “it is the sacred duty for the Muslims to kill kafirs. Hindus are kafirs therefore it is our duty to kill them.” I asked him if it is written in the Qur’an or hadiths to kill Hindus. The Mullah replied: yes. At that time, it was not possible to verify the Mullah’s assertion since I did not understand a word of Arabic and there was no translated Qur’an available to me.

These Mullahs were supporting the Pakistani oppressive force with their mind and body and killing their own Bangali brothers to save Pakistan. I could not understand what Islam had to do with our freedom struggle of the Bengali nation. This betrayal of Mullahs was the turning point in my faith system of religion. I could not understand how those persons after reading Qur’an and hadiths (the so-called Allah’s books) turned into so devilish human beings. Therefore, I immediately decided to investigate what was actually in the Qur’an and hadiths.

FP: So you started studying Islamic theology, and what did you find?

Mirza: Well, I started to read the Qur’an bit by bit. The more I read the holy book, the more I became dismayed. My intention was to search for divinity, philosophy, science, ethics, morality, social and political issues in the Qur’an. But alas, the Qur’an was a book that I found with no chronology, no philosophy, no science at all (but it had plenty of erroneous sciences), plenty of problems in ethics and morality, ample redundancies, unfit social and political teachings by today’s standards; and above all it had ample superstitious scriptures. I also found out that Qur’an is a book full of hatred, cruelties, unethical matters and most of all it has no divinity at all. I could not find anything that was impossible for mankind to think or say in the 7th century period. The Qur’an is replete with hateful, coercive and killing verses (examples: 5:51, 9:5, 3:85, 8:39, 9:29, 47:4, 2:191).

My childhood religious teacher was Huzur Shaheb, a mullah who always used to tell me that Islam is Allah’s only chosen religion and the most peaceful religion on earth. Now it became beyond my comprehension how any deity or religious scriptures could dictate to kill other human beings. My conclusion was that this book, the Qur’an, was manmade -- as other holy books that predate Islam were; and I came to the realization that the Prophet Muhammad himself primarily created it for his self-serving adventurous ambitions.

Along with his own self-serving scriptures, Muhammad also plagiarized various verses from various books such as the Bible, the Book of Zoroastrian, other older religions, and local folklores. The Qur’an is full of folklores and mythological stories of ancient Arabia. This was the time when I lost my faith in Islam completely. I became a secular humanist. To me, all people are the same. I do not make any distinction between any religions. Finally, I came to terms with the notion that religious identity is not at all important to any human being. I agree with this famous quote:

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."-- By Nobel Laureate physicist Steven Weinberger.
FP: Well, we’re on the same page in terms of the problem with Islam, but we would disagree with your notion that religion is an insult to human dignity. I think that Rabbi David J. Wolpe makes a very powerful case for faith. But we’re not here to debate that today. So let’s leave it for another time and place.

Your thoughts on the recent Mumbai horror?

Mirza: The attacks on Mumbai are part of the global jihadi program by the Islamists. Mumbai horrors of terror, as well as many other Islamic terrorisms happening sporadically all over the world, are only part of the jihadis’ larger mission worldwide mission declared by Osama-bin-Laden (OBL) in 1998. And these terrorists are doing it in disguise of various Islamic names, as part of their Islamic deceptive techniques, which westerners utterly fail to understand.

Quite often, western Governments and western Medias struggle to understand the puzzles of various names and connection issues and that is a futile and unnecessary attempt by them. No matter what name or names these mindless Islamic terrorists do use, their ultimate connection is of course their giant umbrella organization of modern day Islamic Jihad called: Al-Qaeda—which is well connected to Islam and Qur’anic teachings.

Consider this analogy: Islamic jihad (terrorism) is a big poisonous tree. Al-Qaeda is the main stem of this tree rooted in the fertile soil (Islam and Koran) and all other hundreds of terrorists in various names are just some branches and sub-branches of the same tree.

Taking new names and constantly changing names is the Islamic deceptive technique (just the way disease causing organisms mutate) only to keep non-Muslim westerns gullible in their dark confusions. They all are inter-connected to the main stem (al-Qaeda) of this poisonous tree and their objective and goal is exactly the same: to undo western democracies, to destroy western civilization and life style -- which they dream to replace by their Islamic culture and sharia similar to Talbani Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, which had been approved by Allah during the 7th century period.

FP: Can you talk a bit about the deception that jihadis practice?

Mirza: It is very important to understand that Muslims in general will mostly deny that any Muslims are ever involved in Islamic terrorism around the world. Muslims in general and pure Muslims in particular will spread some awkward conspiracy theories blaming America, Israel and India about Mumbai incident.

Still today, a large portion of Muslims believe that 9/11 was an American-Jewish conspiracy --only to harm peaceful Islam. Many of them may condemn terrorism, but they do not condemn any Islamic terrorists’ gang by name and identity and they will always smell some conspiracy theory and will outright disbelieve western media.

Most importantly, a large portion of Muslims will never condemn any Islamic terrorism whole heartedly, period. Islamic terrorists are continuously getting a silent “nod of consent” from millions of gullible Muslims and hypocritical Islamists. Devout Muslims, (especially in Arab nations, Pakistan and elsewhere) have two-faces: to the western media, they profess to oppose terrorism, while in private, they espouse Islamic jihad, which is Islamic terrorism. Keep in mind that Muslims are allowed by Allah to lie for the sake of Islamic success. This is what we call Islamic deception to fool the western people. I hate to say it, but Islamists are getting great successes in this practice of fooling westerners.

If we go back to the early history of Islamic propagation in Arabia, Persia, and northern African nations, we can very comfortably conclude that this kind of terrorism did happen obviously in the case of Islam, which got the ancient name: Islamic Ghuzawahs (surprising attacks to enemy)—the mirror image of today’s terrorism. The Prophet of Islam fought at least 90 plus Ghuzawahs during the 7th century period in order to establish his religion of Islam, by killing, torturing and maiming tens of thousands of innocent Arab Pagans.

FP: How can the West combat Islamic terrorism successfully?

Mirza: Islamic terrorism can be stopped if the entire West unites and take the right measures. The West must not weigh Islamic terrorism so lightly. This is a more dangerous and deadlier phenomenon than communism. It took fifty years to defeat communism. But it may take only twenty years to subdue this Islamic terrorism, if the West takes the right course. But the menace may continue to grow if the West follows the fruitless policy of appeasing the Muslims, disseminating patronizing statements like: “Terrorists are not real Muslims, Islam is a religion of peace, Terrorists are a radicalized or perverted interpretation of peaceful Islam etc.” Western appeasement will be dangerous and this foolish technique of appeasing Islamists will only embolden the fanatic zeal of Islamists. Please remember, Muslims do believe strongly that Allah is working behind their ulterior plan of converting the entire earth under the fold of Islam, they call it peace or surrender.

FP: Dr. Mirza, thank you for joining Frontpage Interview.

Mirza: Thank you.

A: V V K ,

Here again you try your best to spread the words that Islam is a false religion and the Quran is the work of Muhammad, and the Muslim are very bad people, all that by bringing a former Muslim like "Syed Mirza".
I tell you there is another one like him, "Salman Rushdi", who became rich and famous, and he is supported by the by all the Christians and Jews Media in the west.

Also, there is another Afagani guy who run away from Afaganistan to Italy and ask the church for protection !!!???, and he serve them by spreading lies against Islam. He is not poor anymore.

The one who run away from his own country and leaving his family cannot be a good or honest person, any person who run away is a person who done someting wrong, and that is for sure.

HOW WE KNOW THAT MR. MIRZA A LIAR?

Let us bring his own words, and by them we come to the truth.

Kirza: 1- If Allah really loves Muslims, then how could he not see distress/sufferings of the poor Muslims? .

Jesus said: "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." Mat. 12:37

V V K, Here, Mirza's words shows his real peronality.
First, he blames Islam for his ill-fortune [he is a lazy man], and he think that the people of the other religion are rich because their Gods love them !!!.
Second, He does not know that in facts that there are millions of poor people among the Buddhists, the Hindus, the Christians, and that did not come by their Gods hate or love.
Buddha left his father palace to live a hadship as a poor man life to seek the truth, and Jesus was a poor man who walked with poor people to show them the truth of God, and Muhamad was a poor man who try to spread the words of God, for peace and equality .

2- One thing that was very strange to me was the fact that religion and poverty go hand in hand. I mean, poor peoples are always very deeply religious, and the rich and affluent are mostly liberal or non-religious.

Here, Mirza show how he is very stupid, and has a sick brain with no logic in it !!!.
The pope of Roman catholic Christian religion , and those who run most of the churches are very, very rich, and many of the rich people of this world are religious and rich, rich Buddhists, rich Christians, rich Hindus, rich Muslims.
Rich and poor has nothing to do with the religion.

In this subject which you brought here, I can see three (3) people.
Mirza, who is very stupid , who does not know what the logic means.
FP, the second stupid person who listen to him, and did not tell him that what he said about religion/poor connections are false.
V V K , the third stupid person who thry to spread the words no matter what it hold from false and non-logical , the one who should know better that a religion had nothing to do with the poor and the rich.

V V K, PLEASE USE YOUR BRAIN BEFORE YOU BRING THE OTHERS WORDS.

A: V V K,

Your post started with the talk of Seywd Mirza, and he asked this question.

Why, Who and Where?

All Mullahs are pointing their fingers to one person- Maurice Bucaille. We are sick and tired of hearing about Maurice Bucaille again and again. Who is this Maurice Bucaille?

THE STUPID MIRZA ASKED A NAIVE QUESTION WHILE HE SAID HE READ HIS BOOK !!! ???.
DR. MAURICE BUCAILLE IS A VERY WELL KNOWN PERSON MAINLY IN FRANCE, THAT WAS BEFORE HIS WRITINGS, BUT TODAY WITH HIS BOOK "THE BIBLE, THE QURAN AND SCIENCE " HE BECAME RECOGNIZED ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

TO ANSWER "WHO" :

Reservation of Pharaoh's Body Dr Maurice Bucaille And Yusuf Estes .
[YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO , TO SEE AND HEAR TWO CHRISIANS TALKING ABOUT THIS BOOK AND ISLAM]

The Qur'an And The Modern Science - a lecture by Dr. Maurice Bucaille.

Far from encouraging renunciation of the world, Islam calls upon mankind to study the Creation of God, and reflect on it.
Indeed, the Glorious Quran contains many scientific facts concerning varied fields such as botany, physiology, embryology, geology, geography, etc. This is not surprising to a Muslim because the Quran itself declares that it will convince people of its veracity in every age:

"Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?" [Al-Quran 41:53]

Dr. Maurice Bucaille is an eminent French surgeon, scientist, scholar and author of THE BIBLE, THE QURAN AND SCIENCE which contains the result of his research into the Judeo-Christian Revelation and the Quran. It is a unique contribution in the field of religion and science.

Being an outstanding Scientist, he was elected to treat the mummy of Merneptah (Pharaoh) which he did. During his visit to Saudi Arabia he was shown the verses of the Holy Quran in which Allah says that the dead body of the Pharaoh will be preserved as a Sign for posterity. An impartial scientist like Dr. Bucaille, who (being also a Christian) was converstant with the Biblical version of Pharaoh's story as being drowned in pursuit of Prophet Moses. He was pleasantly surprised to learn that unknown to the world till only of late, the Holy Quran made definite prediction about the preservation of the body of that same Pharaoh of Moses time. This led Dr. Bucaille to study the Holy Quran thoroughly after learning the Arabic language. The final conclusion of his comparative study of Quran and the Bible is that the statements about scientific phenomena in the Holy Quran are perfectly in conformity with the modern sciences whereas the Biblical narrations on the same subjects are scientifically entirely unacceptable.

The present booklet, which is a lecture given by Dr. Bucaille on the subject Qur'an and Modern Science at the Commonwealth Institute London, will provide guidance towards the eternal of Islam.

NOW, HERE MY QUESTION TO YOU V V K,:
WHO IS THIS SEYED MIRZA ?
WHAT KIND OF EDUCATION HE HOLD ?
THEN:
V V K, WHAT KIND OF EDUCATION YOU HOLD TO AGREE WITH THE STUPID MIRZA ON EVERYTHING WITHOUT USING YOUR BRAIN ?.

You agree with Mirza when he said:
One thing that was very strange to me was the fact that religion and poverty go hand in hand. I mean, poor peoples are always very deeply
religious, and the rich and affluent are mostly liberal or non-religious.

Can you agree with someone who tells you that most affluent and rich [the liberal or non-religious], are those who deals with drugs and prostetution, and deal with arms selling them to the poors countries ?

V V K, you and Mirza lacks the most important things in the brain which is LOGIC & COMMON SENSE.

A: Hi Sam
Take time to read long past below from WIKI ISLAM.
When evaluating claims of miraculous scientific information in “revealed” scriptures such as the Qur’an, it is critical to remember the dictum, “Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof.” For certainly, miracles are not to be taken lightly. If miracles really are the results of direct intervention by God/gods, and if they truly are meant as signs to prove both his/her/their existence and power, then we should expect them to serve those purposes in a clear and unambiguous manner. If God is going through all that trouble to provide us with signs, it would defeat his purpose to make the signs difficult to recognize.

If we assume that Allah exists, it is safe to say that he is not a Las Vegas magician, and his miracles should reasonably be several cuts above the prestidigitation of Penn and Teller. An all-powerful universal God would doubtlessly be capable of providing miracles that were unchallengeable, unambiguous and dramatic. And it is fully conceivable that God would embed such clear signs of his power and omniscience within his revelation.

The claim of “scientific miracles” in the Qur’an rests upon the contention that the book contains specific and detailed scientific knowledge that can only have been revealed to Muhammad miraculously, i.e. that there was no possible non-miraculous way for such information to have been known to a 7th Century Arab.

So it stands to reason that if there actually were non-miraculous ways for such information to be available, no miracle can be demonstrated. And it is important to test such claims, for we are not involved in a casual conversation about fashion or dietary preferences. We are talking about alleged proofs for the divine origin of the Qur’an.

The Four Part Test
For a “scientific statement” in the Qur’an to be considered miraculous, it must be capable of passing a four-part test that removes the possibility of a non-miraculous origin of the information:

1. It must be an unambiguous statement of scientific fact requiring no elaborate interpretation to discern its factual meaning.

This point cannot be stressed too intensely. For the scientific information in question must actually be in the Qur’an itself, and not something added later as part of a commentary. If the critical information that distinguishes a “scientific miracle” from a casual statement of obvious fact is not explicitly in the clear words and meaning of the Qur’an, we cannot trust it as even being there.

If the verse has to be “interpreted” to extract hidden meaning that is not obviously there, the claim of a miracle has been “corrupted” by the commentary, and cannot be considered valid.

2. The fact must have been previously unknown to every other non-Islamic civilization that had contact with the Arabian Peninsula.

Key to the claim of “scientific miracles” in the Qur’an is the contention that the information included was unknown until recently, or at least until many years after the death of Muhammad. So, of course, if it can be shown that the information was already available to other peoples or cultures with whom the Arabs were in contact, this claim is shown to be simply false.

It does not matter the source of that other culture’s information. It may have been a lucky guess, it may have been the result of precocious scientific achievement… in fact it may even potentially have been a miracle the other culture had experienced years before.

But if that information was available before the Qur’an was written down, there can be no credit to the claim of a “Qur’anic miracle.”

3. It must not be obvious to any casual observer.

This may sound like an obvious point, but given the nature of many of the stock “miracles” claimed by Muslim apologists, it still must be discussed explicitly. For often, what is claimed to be a miracle of the Qur’an is something of which any individual with his or her eyes open would have been aware.

If the information in question is available to anyone who simply looks at the phenomenon, requiring no sophisticated instruments, tools or interpretation, then it cannot be considered miraculous.

4. It must be true.

As with the previous point, this one sounds intuitively obvious. But it too requires explicit mention as occasionally the claims of Qur’anic “miracles” depend on misunderstandings or misstatements about reality and science. If the information in question is not actually true, then certainly it cannot be a miraculous revelation from God, as God should be expected to know what is or is not true.

Medicine, Healthcare and Biology in Islam
Medicine and Healthcare
Main Article: Medicine and Healthcare in Islam
Islamic medicine, healthcare and Biology relies on superstitions, general beliefs among the people during the prophet's time and borrowings from the practices and beliefs of other civilizations. For example; today you will find Muslims who champion the self-alleged health benefits of drinking camel urine (as instructed by Muhammad), but those who are actually willing to practice such idiocy are far less forthcoming. The allowance and even encouragement of marriages between relatives, such as cousins, is another issue that deserves to be sent back to the 7th century. Medically, this common Muslim practice is harmful because it raises the probability for genetic disorders to occur in offspring. And the much lauded embryology found within the Qur'an is in reality plagiarized from Greek medicine. Therefore embryology, as described in the Qur'an, is neither original nor correct. These are but a few of the example which are covered in our articles.

The Medicinal Value of Camel Urine
Main Article: Camel Urine and Islam
This article is about the use of camel urine as medicine in the Hadiths and how such usage is viewed in the Muslim world. Muhammad prescribed camel urine as medicine to the followers from Uraynah. Because Muhammad is a prophet, Muslims believe he received a divine revelation from God. As a result they continue to study and prescribe camel urine as medicine despite the lack of evidence proving there is any medicinal value in camel urine and that there is some evidence that drinking urine is actually harmful.

Adverse Effects of Islamic Fasting
Main Article: Adverse Effects of Islamic Fasting
Medical fasting is different from Islamic fasting (Sawm), and contrary to popular Muslim beliefs, Islamic fasting, unlike Medical fasting, has numerous adverse effects that have been observed using scientific studies and news sources. Intermittent and prolonged fasting is generally not conducive to a healthy lifestyle. Depriving the body of water and essential nutrients by dividing and postponing meals to irregular intervals does nothing to limit consumption. In-fact it causes a host of health, performance and mood disorders. Fasting is not normally prescribed for the well being of human beings. Instead, it is commonly understood that eating healthy, smaller-portioned meals, interspersed throughout the day is far better in maintaining a well-balanced diet and far more forgiving on a person's metabolism. Any claims that prolonged and intermittent fasting contributes to the well-being of an individual's health are misleading, based on the scientific studies that prove otherwise. If the Islamic argument in favor of fasting is that “we fast because God commanded us to do so," then it is obvious that God is not a nutritionist or a dietitian because the negatives definitely outweigh the positives. So the question to the Muslim world is: what benefit does the Muslim world get for 1 billion people staying hungry throughout the day for one full month every year? Did Allah actually want Muslims to suffer physically, economically and socially for one month every year? Also, if fasting is beneficial as Muslims claim, why do Muslims not fast the entire year instead of just one month?

Moderate Alcohol Consumption and its Health Benefits
Main Article: Moderate Alcohol Consumption and its Health Benefits
Alcohol and other intoxicants are strictly prohibited (haram) in Islam. At first this aspect of Islam may seem inspired and full of wisdom, considering the abuse of alcohol can lead to a lot of misery and suffering. To be sure, we are in no way endorsing the consumption or abuse of alcohol. However, we are asking the question 'should you throw the baby out with the bath water?' When used in moderation, research suggests that there are numerous benefits in the consumption of alcohol, and an all-knowing deity would have been aware of this. The Jews and Christians are allowed to consume alcohol. The pagan Arabs before and shortly after their conversion to Islam also consumed alcohol. So why did Allah prohibit something that may be beneficial and which was an accepted norm among the religions before Islam? Of course the Muslims will cite Qur'an 2:219 and state "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." However, if this was the true reason behind its prohibition then it only exposes Allah's flawed logic. Surely the "all-wise" would have only prohibited its abuse and not given us an outright ban. Furthermore, if the potential health risk of alcohol was the cause of the prohibition, why not also warn Muslims against the dangers of drinking milk?

Milk is Agreeable/Good for Humans to Drink?
Main Article: Qur'an and Milk
The Qur'an clearly encourages people to drink milk and calls it "pure and agreeable to those who drink it." It's even being served in the Muslim Paradise. In reality, one glass of milk is potentially more harmful than a glass of alcoholic beverage. The Northern Europeans are among the rather small group of the totality of humankind to whom consumption of milk after the weaning stage is most 'agreeable' due to evolutionary changes. For much of the rest of humanity lactose-intolerance after the weaning stage is default.

So it seems that the Qur'anic statement "And verily in cattle (too) will ye find an instructive sign...We produce, for your drink, milk, pure and agreeable to those who drink it" is more appropriate to the genetic cluster of (kafir) Northern Europeans and their US descendants than to the other genetic clusters among humanity.

Drinking Zamzam Water and its Health Risks
Main Article: Drinking Zamzam Water and its Health Risks
Millions of Muslims visit the Zamzam well in Mecca each year while performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimages, in order to drink its water and, in many cases, to take home some of its water for distribution among friends and relations believing the well and the water which it pumps to be miraculous.

As with urine, milk, and alcohol, Muslims often make claims of their religious beliefs being backed by science. However, in May 2011, a BBC investigation found that genuine Zamzam water taken from the well contained arsenic levels three times the legal limit, something which could contribute to increasing people's risk of cancer. In addition to the dangerous arsenic levels, the holy water contained high levels of nitrate and potentially harmful bacteria.

Health Effects of Islamic Dress‎
Main Article: Health Effects of Islamic Dress‎
The majority of female Muslims worldwide, following the Islamic requirement of observing Hijab, wear some form of Islamic dress. This ranges anywhere from wearing a simple head covering, to the burqa (a form of "full hijab"), which covers almost all exposed skin.

There is concern among the medical community about some of the health effects of the extreme styles of Islamic dress, with the main issues arising from Vitamin D deficiency due to lack skin exposed to UV light. It has been established by credible scientific evidence that almost all women who observe the full hijab are chronically deficient in Vitamin D. Vitamin D is a vital nutrient and deficiency of this kind can lead to osteomalacia in adults and rickets in children. There is also a strong association between deficiency in Vitamin D and an increased risk of developing several deadly cancers, including breast cancer.

For Islam as a religion, the implications are troublesome. Islam is considered by its adherents to be the perfect way of life for mankind. If Islam was mandated by Allah, and if he wanted women to observe hijab, then logically he would not have created humans with the need to get Vitamin D from exposing their skin to the sun.

Embryology in Islamic Scripture
Main Article: Embryology in Islamic Scripture, See also: History of Embryology
“Islamic embryology” is derived from both the Qur’an and the hadith, and is quite consistent across all the contributing sources. The core of the story can be found in the Qur’an, 22:5. There are a handful of additional ayaat that deal with this subject, and none of them disagree with the basic scenario. There is also more to learn from the hadith, particularly that of Bukhari and Muslim. Again, the accounts are quite consistent, and the additional information they provide is important.

The details of embryology as reflected in the Qur’an and the hadith can be summarized as follows; the embryo spends 40 days as a drop of sperm or seed, the embryo then spends another 40 days as a “clot” or a “leech-like clot” of blood, the embryo then spends another 40 days as a “lump of flesh” during which the gender of the child is assigned by an angel at Allah’s direction.

These then are the details that must be correlated with actual embryonic development to evaluate the accuracy or inaccuracy of the Islamic account. The question is actually a simple one: Does this account describe the first 120 days of embryonic development or doesn’t it?

Cousin Marriage in Islam
Main Article: Cousin Marriage in Islam
Cousin marriage is explicitly allowed in Islam as seen in verse 4:23 of the Qur'an. Muhammad himself married cousins, as he did with Zaynab bint Jahsh, who was not only the daughter of his father's sister, but was also divorced from a marriage with Muhammad's adopted son, Zayd ibn Haritha. Muhammad also allowed the marriage of his daughter, Fatimah, to his cousin, Ali ibn Abi Talib, who would later go on to become the fourth Rightly-guided Caliph of Islam. The second Caliph, Umar ibn al-Khattab, also married his cousin, Atikah bint Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl.

From a biological point of view it becomes clear that first cousin marriage is not recommended because close relatives have a higher than normal consanguinity which means an increased chance of sharing genes for recessive traits. With this high amount of shared DNA, you have a higher risk of birth defects in a baby. The British geneticist, Professor Steve Jones, giving The John Maddox Lecture at the 2011 Hay Festival had stated in relation to Muslim inbreeding, "It is common in the Islamic world to marry your brother’s daughter, which is actually [genetically] closer than marrying your cousin." A rough estimate shows that close to half of all Muslims in the world are inbred.

The Universe According to Islam
Adam, Eve, and the Six Days of Creation
Main Article: Qur'an, Hadith and Scholars:Creation
This page simply quotes authoritative Islamic sources, i.e. the Qur'an, hadith, and scholars, to provide you with an accurate picture of what Islam teaches of the creation of the universe and its human inhabitants. The basic creation narrative is consistent throughout.

It began six thousand years before the advent of Islam. The first thing to be created was the planet Earth, which took two days to complete, from Sunday to Monday. Then it took another two days to create the mountains, trees, and everything else. The final two days, Thursday and Friday, were spent creating the "heavens", the sun, moon, other planets, and a sixty cubits (approximately ninety feet) tall Adam.

Hawwa' (Eve) was created from Adam's left rib, whilst he was asleep in the Garden. She is blamed by Adam for persuading him to eat from the forbidden tree. As a result, they are both cast out from the garden in Paradise and sent down to the planet Earth, where their decedents continue to decrease in size.

As punishment for her transgression in particular, Allah makes Eve menstruate, suffer pregnancy and become stupid. Therefore, according to Islamic beliefs, today all women menstruate (are deficient in religion) and are created stupid (deficient in intelligence).

A Qur’anic Understanding of the Universe
Main Article: A Qur’anic Understanding of the Universe
This article is designed to uncover and explain the actual state of scientific knowledge that is presented to us in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. Specifically, we will explore Islamic Cosmology, in particular the Qur'ans understanding of the nature and structure of the physical universe. To no surprise, the Qur'an's understanding of the universe matches that of the mythical cosmos believed by 7th century Arabians rather than an accurate description of the real universe.

In the Qur'an, the entire universe is very small and contains simply the earth and its surrounding heavens. There are no galaxies, other solar systems, or such a thing as “outer space.” The earth is the top-most of seven, flat discs, surrounded by the seven solid concentric domes of the heavens. The celestial objects that do exist (sun, moon, stars and planets) are quite small, very close, and they follow semi-circular paths within the innermost of the seven heavenly domes. When they are not in the sky above the earth, they are resting somewhere underneath it, except while petitioning Allah’s permission to return the following day (or night). Paradise exists between the seven heavens, and hell exists between the seven earths. All of this is submerged in a cosmic sea, above which is the throne of Allah.

The Flat Earth
Main Article: Flat Earth and the Qur'an
As should be apparent by now, the Islamic faith stifles scientific progress and nothing demonstrates this as well as the modern-day belief that the Earth is flat. As recently as 1993 the supreme religious authority of Saudi Arabia Sheik Abdul-Aziz Ibn Baaz declared "The earth is flat. Whoever claims it is round is an atheist deserving of punishment."[1] and in a televised debate aired on Iraqi Al-Fayhaa TV (October 31, 2007), Muslim Researcher on Astronomy Fadhel Al-Sa'd also declared that the Earth is flat as evidenced by Qur'anic verses and that the sun is much smaller than the Earth and revolves around it. [2] As devout Muslims, they have good reason to conclude the Earth is flat; the Qur'anic verses 15:19, 20:53, 43:10, 50:7, 51:48, 71:19, 78:6, 79:30, 88:20 and 91:6 all clearly state this. While many apologists have attempted to explain away this 'oddity' to fellow Muslims and Westerners, they prey on their listeners ignorance of the Arabic language. As such, their apologetic claims have been easily refuted by native Arabic speakers. There is no escaping the fact that, according to the Qur'an, the earth is flat as a pancake.

The Motionless Center - Planet Earth
Main Article: The Geocentric Qur'an
This article examines the evidence for Qur'anic geocentric cosmology. Some may confuse geocentricism with the the idea that the Earth is flat. This is not the case. These are two different ideas. Geocentrism simply is the notion that the earth is the (immovable) center of our universe, thus all celestial bodies mover around it. According to the Qur'an, the Sun (and the moon and the five known planets) follow a curved (rounded) course (a Falak). This falak starts in the east (where the sun goes up), goes high above the earth and ends after sunset with the Sun resting at night at a hidden place. All this took place around an earth that was spread out and had a firmament built on invisible pillars above it. This was a common belief at the time. Sahih (authentic) hadiths affirm this geocentric cosmology (so Muhammad or at least the people around him agree with it), and great ancient, and even modern-day, Muslim astronomists agree that the Qur'an is geocentric. In ancient times, many people - but certainly not all - did not know any better than what they seemed to observe everyday: the sun appeared to be going around the earth through our skies. We cannot blame a 7th century Bedouin for not knowing this, but should not the omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient creator of the universe know better?

Sun Sets in a Muddy Spring
Main Article: Dhul-Qarnayn and the Sun Controversy in the Qur'an
The precise meaning of the opening phrases in verses 86 and 90 in the 18th chapter of the Qur’an, Surah al-Kahf, or “The Cave”, is a matter of considerable controversy. These verses occur within an account concerning a powerful figure called Dhu’l Qarnayn, “the two-horned one”, who Allah guides on a series of three fantastic journeys in Qur’an 18:83-101. They are controversial due to Muslim sensitivity to claims that they have Allah saying that the sun sets and rises in physical locations on or at the edges of Earth.

Our analysis shows that the various interpretations that have been proposed for verses 18:86 and 18:90 in the Qur’an to reconcile them with scientific facts do not stand up to detailed scrutiny. The evidence overwhelmingly supports the clear and obvious interpretation that this is intended to be understood as a historical account in which Dhu’l Qarnayn traveled until he reached the place where the sun sets and actually found that it went down into a muddy spring near to where a people were, and that he then traveled until he reached the place where the sun rises and actually found that it rose up above a people who lived close to the place where the sun rises.

Ramadan and the North and South Poles
Main Article: The Ramadan Pole Paradox
This article consists of a set of questions and answers exploring Ramadan's relation to the North and South Poles. According to Islamic rules, the length of a fast is governed by the rising and the setting of the sun. This can cause a huge problem for those who live close to these poles. The closer we get to the poles, the longer our days or nights become. They can eventually extend for up to several months each, making the fourth Pillar of Islam impossible to practice without starving yourself to death. Obviously Muhammad was unaware of the poles.

Islamic Writing and the Universe
Main Article: Qur'an, Hadith and Scholars:Cosmology
Islamic scriptures and scholars have much to say in regards to the cosmology of the universe.

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) one day said: Do you know where the sun goes? They replied: Allah and His Apostle know best. He (the Holy Prophet) observed: Verily it (the sun) glides till it reaches its resting place under the Throne. Then it falls prostrate and remains there until it is asked: Rise up and go to the place whence you came, and it goes back and continues emerging out from its rising place and then glides till it reaches its place of rest under the Throne and falls prostrate and remains in that state until it is asked: Rise up and return to the place whence you came, and it returns and emerges out from it rising place and the it glides (in such a normal way) that the people do not discern anything ( unusual in it) till it reaches its resting place under the Throne. Then it would be said to it: Rise up and emerge out from the place of your setting, and it will rise from the place of its setting. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said. Do you know when it would happen? It would happen at the time when faith will not benefit one who has not previously believed or has derived no good from the faith.

Sahih Muslim 1:297
Islamic Science and the Golden Age
The Miracle of Islamic Science
Main Article: Setting the Record Straight: The Non-Miracle of Islamic Science
This is a refutation of Dr K. Ajram's Setting the Record Straight: The Miracle of Islamic Science. The purpose of this analysis is to put the achievements of Golden Age Muslim scientists in the proper perspective; neither denigrating their achievements nor inflating them. All scientific and technological progress is accomplished in progression; Muslim achievements are but links in the chain. Few of the great Muslim scientific achievements stood alone, but were derived by Muslim scientists standing on the shoulders of those who came before them. This analysis also highlights the fatal flaw of the Islamic Golden Age. There were few ‘follow-up’ breakthroughs on the backs of the works of the great Muslim scientists. In effect, the Ummah allowed or encouraged these works to wither on the vine or die stillborn, even before the rise of mysticism at the expense of rational thinking, an event often attributed to al-Ghazzali around the turn of the 12th century. Indeed, it would seem orthodox Islam utterly stifles intellectual reasoning. Therefore, Islam is not the cause of scientific progress during the Golden Age. Many people would say that the Golden Age scientific progress was made in spite of Islam, not because of it. A prime example is the great philosopher-physician Ibn Sina (Avicenna) whose work is constantly referenced by Dr K. Ajram. It is true that Avicenna was one of the most influential medieval philosophers, but he was also one of the most frequently attacked by Muslims. Today, the majority of Muslims would consider Ibn Sina, and many of the other great 'Islamic' scientists, as heretical apostates for their beliefs, and therefore non-Muslim disbelievers.

Muslims 'Saved' the Work of Greek Philosophers from Destruction
Main Article: Arab Transmission of the Classics
The Arab transmission of the classics is a common and persistent myth that Arabic commentators such as Avicenna and Averroes 'saved' the work of Aristotle and other Greek philosophers from destruction. According to the myth, these works would otherwise have perished in the long European dark age between fifth and the tenth centuries. Thus the versions of Aristotle used in the West were translations from the Arabic, which came from the South West of Europe in the reconquest of Spain from the Muslims during the twelve and thirteenth centuries[3]. This is incorrect. It was actually the Byzantines in the East who saved the ancient learning of the Greeks in the original language, and the first Latin texts to be used were translation from the Greek, in the 12th century, rather than, in most cases, the Arabic, which were only used in default of these.

It is nevertheless true, and no myth, that the work of the Arabic commentators, particularly Averroes, had a profound influence on the scholastic philosophers of the Latin West in the thirteenth century. Aristotle's Greek is terse and very difficult to understand. The work of the Arabic commentators helped in explaining and clarifying Aristotle's dense and apparently obscure thought. Thus Western intellectual tradition owes a great debt to the Arabic scholars in terms of understanding Aristotle's thought. In terms of the texts, however, these would have survived had the Arabic commentators never existed.

Islamic Inventions that Changed the World
Main Article: Islamic Inventions? How Islamic Inventors Did Not Change The World
These past few years have seen many inventions falsely claimed and attributed to Islamic inventors, which in fact either existed in pre-Islamic eras, were invented by other cultures, or both. However, this detail has not halted Muslim, and non-Muslim apologists alike, from perpetuating these false claims. Unbelievably, such claims, which are basically altering the worlds history in order to show Islam in a better light, have even been forced upon the unsuspecting public in a nationwide tour which opened with an exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester and the University of Manchester, England. To celebrate this 'momentous' series of events, an article titled “How Islamic inventors changed the world” was written by Paul Vallely and published in The Independent. This shameless piece of propaganda has received much praise from Muslims and has been (and still is) widely circulated on Islamic websites, forums, and blogs. This article lists and examines all twenty of these “Islamic inventors/inventions that changed the world” and in doing so, it exposes the lengths some will sink to in order to appease the Islamists. The Independent article is fundamentally misleading. It omits, distorts, and makes blunders over the most basic of historical facts to give the reader a false impression, and robs other civilizations such as ancient China, ancient Rome and pre-Islamic Egypt of the credit they rightfully deserve. It leaves you wondering what could have possibly motivated Paul Vallely into writing such a deceptive piece of journalism? This exhibition claimed to have shown 1001 Islamic inventions. If the best 20 are debunked, what of the other 981?

Islamic Science in Wikipedia Articles
Main Article: Islam, Science and the Problems at Wikipedia
At Wikipedia, Islam-related articles are severely compromised by Muslim editors. An example of this is a 2010 incident where an editor with over 67,000 edits was caught intentionally inserting false information into articles.

Jagged 85 is the main contributor to the many inaccurate Islam/Science/Golden Age articles which are still being copied and pasted all over the internet by Muslims, and more than 20% of Wikipedia's "Timeline of historic inventions" was provided by him.

With contributions to over 8,100 separate articles, it is unlikely that all of Jagged 85's edits will ever be fixed. And even if they were, these Wikipedia articles have already been reproduced all over the net by other sites which use Wikipedia as a source.

Scientific errors in the Qur'an and Hadith
Main Articles: Scientific Errors in the Qur'an, See also: Scientific Errors in the Hadith
This page lists various types of scientific errors found in the Qur'an. The subjects of these errors include; Evolution, Astronomy, Biology, Geology, Zoology and many others which are often confirmed by the hadith.

Westerners finding Science in the Qur'an
Main Articles: Westerners find $cience in the Qur'an and Bucailleism
The new Mullahs and other Islamists feel very happy whenever they find an occidental (western white person) who talks in favor of their faith (Islam). This is especially true when these western people try to associate the Qur'an and Hadith with anything resembling an inkling of scientific truth. For the last 25 years or so, Muslims have found several non-Muslim supporters (pseudo) of their faith. One of the results of such liaisons is Bucailleism, the belief that "the Qur'an prophesied the Big Bang theory, space travel and other contemporary scientific breakthroughs," and that "there are more than 1200 verses (Ayat) which can be interpreted in the light of modern science."[4] It has been called "a fast-growing branch of Islamic fundamentalism." Named after none-other than the French (Catholic) surgeon Maurice Bucaille, its proponents believe that "one of the main convincing evidences" that lead many to convert to Islam "is the large number of scientific facts in the Quran."[5] These articles take a critical look at this fairly recent phenomena.

Scientific Miracles in...the Georgics
Main Article: Georgics
To demonstrate how ludicrously easy it is to prove that any ancient poetry can be reinterpreted to reveal scientific miracles, we present to you a satiric article that 'proves' that the Georgica, written by Virgil in Golden Latin in the year 28 BC, contains scientific miracles. In the very first eight words alone of the Georgics we find no less than five (there's probably many more) scientifically accurate statements of which Virgil himself (born in the first century BC) could not have had any knowledge of, due to science only confirming them many centuries later. If we read verses 234 to 237 we find another five miracles. It would seem the Georgics are full of these divine pearls of wisdom, wherever we look we find them. Is there any other text in the world more densely packed with such scientifically accurate knowledge? What divine source could have whispered all this into Virgil's ear? Virgil was a polytheist, who worshipped many different gods. Is this truly a miracle sent down from the ancient Roman gods? Let the honest reader draw his or her own conclusions. All we request is that you look upon this with an open mind.

Qur'an and the Big Bang
Main Article: Qur'an and the Big Bang
Islamic apologists attempt to claim that the “Big Bang” is actually described by the Qur’an in one of many miraculous displays of scientific precocity in text. However on closer examination, Muslim claims of miraculous scientific information in the Qur’an are shown to be, yet again, in error. In reality, the Qur’an is completely silent on the “big bang” because it clearly has no awareness whatsoever of a universe that preexisted the creation of the planet Earth, or extended outwards into infinite space. It has no understanding of galaxies, or clusters of galaxies, or quasars or pulsars or any of the other things that could have easily been mentioned by an omniscient Allah, and left us no room for quibbling.

Qur'an Predicted Black Holes And Pulsars
Main Article: Qur'an Predicted Black Holes And Pulsars
Harun Yahya, makes many claims of Qur'anic Science. This article seeks to debunk two such claims, namely that the Qur'an predicted black holes and pulsars. We will show the absurdity of the black hole claim, while showing the pulsar claim to be conjectural and devoid of factual basis. In doing so, we will also show Harun Yahya’s self-contradiction as he used the same Qur'anic verse to ‘prove’ both the black hole and the pulsar. Now, even to the uninitiated, it would seem impossible for something to be both a black hole and a pulsar. However, Islamists do not appear to be inhibited by such constraints of logic.

Speed of Light in the Qur'an
Main Article: Speed of Light in the Qur'an
In an article published in Islami City, Dr. Mansour Hassab-Elnaby claims the verse 32:5 reveals that light in one day travels a distance equal to 12,000 lunar orbits, and upon calculating that distance we find the exact speed of light. This verse clearly has nothing to do with the speed of light. There is no mention of the moon, light or even distance in this verse. If these methods were to be applied to other texts, such as Shakespeare's writings or Virgil's Georgics, they too can be "proven" divine. No matter how we look at Dr. Hassab-Elnaby's calculations, they are mathematically incorrect. Even the notion of measuring the speed of light with the orbit of the Moon or the length of the day is a fallacy. Dr. Hassab-Elnaby also makes many deliberate errors to doctor his scientific miracle, and in his zeal to ascribe miracles to the Qur'an, he throws out of the window the concept of Allah's omnipresence. The maker of the Universe, according to him, depends on the speed of light to manage his affairs. The fact that Islami City, arguably the most prestigious Islamic site has published this erroneous piece by him proves the intellectual bankruptcy of the ummah, and assuming there really is a miracle in this plagiarized allegory, shouldn't the credit go to the Bible from which it originates?

Earth Made of Seven Layers
Main Article: Earth Made of Seven Layers
Islamists have come up with some extraordinary claims, including the claim that modern Science proves the Qur'an correct in asserting the earth is made of 7 "layers". This article seeks to show the error of the Islamist claim that verse 65:12 shows the earth is composed of 7 layers. In truth, the earth is not composed of 7 layers, but 5. Even if the earth was composed of 7 layers, it doesn't alter the fact that if these Islamists cared to delve a little deeper into their own sources they would discover that the 7 earths being referred to in verse 65:12 are in fact flat islands, one under the other.

Qur'an and the Descent of Iron Miracle
Main Article: Qur'an and the Descent of Iron Miracle
Many Islamists propagate the hilarious ‘iron sent down from heaven miracle’ pseudoscience. This is totally devoid of logic and scientific fact. Such Islamist claims may impress the gullible but elicit nothing but laughter among those with even minimal scientific education. A chief proponent of this Islamist pseudoscience is Harun Yahya. There is nothing miraculous about surah 57:26 describing iron being ‘sent down’ by some deity. The ancient Egyptians already derived that concept three thousand years before Islam. They called iron “ba-en-pet” or ‘metal from heaven’. This concept was also shared by the ancient Mesopotamians. We have also shown many of the other 'miraculous' claims in connection with iron to be patent scientific nonsense.

The Qur'an and Mountains
Main Article: The Qur'an and Mountains
This article refutes the Islamist claim that the Qur'an had foreshadowed the scientific knowledge about Mountains as Pegs stabilizing the crust or even the earth. There are two elements to this ‘Qur'anic Science’ claim: A. Mountains are Pegs. This is untrue as not all mountains have peg-like roots. B. Mountains stabilize the crust or the earth. This is unproven. There is no scientific evidence for this assertion, therefore the Qur'an cannot be validated by scientific evidence that does not exist. The mere fact of isostacy is not proof that mountains stabilize the crust or the earth. The mere fact that collision-type mountains are formed at the edges of tectonic plates is not proof that mountains stabilize the plates. The mere fact that mountains have deep roots is not proof that mountains stabilize anything.

Qur'an Predicted Land Decreasing
Main Article: Qur'an Predicted Land Decreasing
Dr Al Zeiny, PhD, claims a so-called ‘proof’ of Qur'anic Science by positing the proposition that the Qur'an correctly predicted the geological fact that land is decreasing due to the movements of tectonic plates. He cites verses 13:41 and 21:44 as evidence. Alas for Dr Zeiny, the geological facts do not support his case that land is decreasing as the Qur'an supposedly suggests.

In fact, we'd like to thank Dr Zeiny for helping to prove the Qur'an incorrect in asserting that land is decreasing, and thereby also prove that the Qur'an is false and therefore man-made. By extension, Dr Zeiny has also proven that Allah is also false and therefore man-made.

Creation of Humans from Clay
Main Article: Creation of Humans from Clay
Many Muslims use the recent scientific hypothesis of clay particles as catalysts for abiogensis as evidence of the veracity of their scripture. However, the scientific hypothesis postulates that the clay merely 'match-makes' RNA and membrane vesicles - and therefore does not form a building block. This is contrary to the Islamic Faith which postulates that human beings were created from clay, implying clay was a building block. Notwithstanding this key distinction, is Islam the only religion which postulated the creation of human beings from clay? The answer is no. Many religions pre-dating Islam also carry this 'creation of human beings from clay' story. The earliest are the pre-cursors of the Abrahamic Faiths - namely the early Mesopotamian religions. Other faiths that postulate the 'creation of human beings from clay' stories include the ancient Egyptians, some African tribes and the Incas. In fact, the ‘creation of humans from clay’ stories are common throughout the world, including far-flung places like Australia and the Pacific Islands which were not in contact with Islam or any of the other Abrahamic Faiths until recent times.

Qur'an and Semen Production
Main Articles: Qur'an and Semen Production
This article lists and refutes all the various Islamic attempts to show that the Qur'an correctly describes semen production from between the sulb and the tara’ib in verse 86:7. There are at least seven distinct classes of Islamic explanations, and these propositions are frequently conflicting. For example, Ibn Kathir refers to tara’ib as a female organ, while other tafsirs claim it belongs to the man.[6] Another conflict is the definition of sulb to mean either the backbone or the ‘hardening’ of the loins.

Qur'an Describes Gender Determination By Sperm
Main Article: Qur'an Describes Gender Determination By Sperm
Various Islamists make the usual Islamic polemic about how the Qur'an can be proved by modern scientific knowledge, using the old canard about how the Qur'an is the only ancient book that states that gender is determined by the sperm. In this, they may point out the ignorance of the Greeks who thought gender was determined by the relative strengths of sperm from the male and female parents as Hippocrates imagined. This article does not seek to prove that the ancient Egyptians shared some aspects of our modern understanding of gender determination and reproduction. It merely aims to show that the Qur'an was not the first religious text to suggest that gender is determined by the semen of the male parent.

Qur'an and Embryology
Main Article: Embryology in the Qur'an
There are propagations of the Qur'anic ‘so-called’ Embryology by such luminaries as Dr. Keith Moore and Dr. Maurice Bucaille. These works are aped by such Islamic scholars as Dr. Al Zeiny, Dr. Zakir Naik, Dr. Ibrahim Syed, Dr. Sharif Kaf Al-Ghazal, and the ubiquitous Harun Yahya aka Adnan Oktar. A good additional material is provided by Dr. Omar Abdul Rehman in which he goes into even greater detail in his attempt to validate the Qur'anic ‘human reproduction’ verses with modern scientific facts. On the net, you will find many excellent debunkings of the Qur'anic Embryology Pseudoscience (“QEP”). Here we attempt to add to this debate, concentrating solely on the Qur'anic verses.

Qur'anic Claim of Everything Created in Pairs
Main Article: Qur'anic Claim of Everything Created in Pairs
This article refutes the claim that Man did not know anything about the "creation in pairs" at the time of the 'descent' of the Qur'an. Here is one of the Qur'anic verses which speak of this. The case against the Qur'an is really very simple. All one has to do is to show that not all creatures are ‘created’ in pairs. Our opinion is that Muhammad, being who he was, didn’t have access to a microscope or a good Level 1 biology textbook. Therefore, he couldn’t have known about asexual organisms, parthenogenetic organisms, or hermaphrodites.

Qur'an and the Lying Prefrontal Cerebrum
Main Article: Qur'an and the Lying Prefrontal Cerebrum
Several Islamists promulgate Professor Keith L. Moore's Qur'anic Pseudoscience of the lying sinful prefrontal area of the cerebrum (here referred to as the prefrontal cerebrum). There are many web sites that are copy-pasting this proposition, and a search of the internet reveals that all the Islamist claims that the cerebrum is responsible for lying and sin comes from the same source, i.e. from Keith Moore. However, Modern medical research utilizing fMRI conduct brain scans has revealed that the prefrontal cerebrum is not responsible for lying. Other brain regions are responsible, particularly the anterior cingulate gyrus which lies in the medial part of the brain in the frontal-parietal area and not in the prefrontal cerebrum. Thus, the scientific evidence does not support the Islamist's pseudoscientific claim that the Qur'an correctly asserts that the prefrontal region is responsible for lying as it is not the region responsible for the decision-making process of lying.

..........................-...................................-.................................
-I- read all your posts , even I go to search what ever information you provided . But I am not sure if you do the same ?. A person looking for the truth when confronted by it should accept it, and an explanation been given to him to show that he is wrong he should not run away, especially when he told he is a liar.
For example : the story of Aaron and Mary.

...............................-.....................................
I- read all your post. Everything you wrote are not true, but lies.
I don't have to answer everyone of your lies, but I will show you one of the biggest lies, and here is what you claim"

That is about , “The universe according to Islam”

There are several claims here, and I will answer them one by one:

" - (1)It began six thousand years before the advent of Islam.

{There is nothing in the Quran which give such information , or a number “It began 6000 years before Islam” THAT IS A BIG LIE.
A catholic Christian bishop from Ireland who did this kind of calculation for the creation, and I did mention that in my early posts.}

-(2)The first thing to be created was the planet Earth, which took two days to complete, from Sunday to Monday.

{There is nothing in the Quran which mention that the earth created first . The Quran mentioned that the everything [heaven and the earth] came from one ENTITY , which been separated [BIG BANG], and everything was as a smoke, then the universe EXPANDED, and all that came before the creation of the earth.
The two days , Saturday & Sunday , never mentioned in the Quran, but YOU ARE MIXED UP, those days came in the BIBLE the Jewish holy books [O.T.]} THAT IS ANOTHER LIE.

- (3)Then it took another two days to create the mountains, trees, and everything else.
The final two days, Thursday and Friday, were spent creating the "heavens", the sun, moon, other planets, and a sixty cubits (approximately ninety feet) tall Adam. "

{All what you present here are what is written in the BIBLE, and there is no such writings in the Quran that mentions Thursday , Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or morning and evening in the creation, all that came from the BIBLE: Example,

Genesis 1:5
And God, looking on the light, saw that it was good: and God made a division between the light and the dark, 1:5 Naming the light, Day, and the dark, Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
1:16
And God made the two great lights: the greater light to be the ruler of the day, and the smaller light to be the ruler of the night: and he made the stars.
1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
2:2 And on the seventh day [SATURDAY] God came to the end of all his work; and on the seventh day he took his rest from all the work which he had done.}

SO, WHAT YOU CLAIMED IN # 3 IS SWITCHING THE TRUTH AND ANOTHER BIG LIE.

V V K, To understand what is written in the Quran you should acquire full knowledge of the Arabic language, and it is grammar . Also you should understand that you cannot translate the Arabic to English or any other language word by word, since some arabic words has several meanings, for example:
DAY in English has two meanings, 1- for the 12 hour day [DAY &night], 2- for the 24 hours day [7DAYS, 30DAYS, 365DAYS]

DAY in English ... YAOM in Arabic
YAOM has two meanings:
1- for the 24 hours day,
2- for a PERIOD OF TIME.
For the time period of light [on earth] we call NAHAR
For the time period of dark [on earth] we call LEIL.

Example for the YAOM [day] as a PERIOD OF TIME:
Q- 22:47 And indeed, A DAY WITH YOUR LORD IS LIKE A THOUSAND YEARS OF THOSE WHICH YOU COUNT.

Q- 70:4 THE ANGELS AND THE SPIRIT WILL ASCEND TO HIM DURING A DAY THE EXTENT OF WHICH IS FIFTY THOUSAND YEARS.

When God mentioning YAOM [day] in the Quran HE is not presenting our 24 hours day, but only telling us that in the heaven [the universe] , which is of HIS creation, time is different to what we know on earth. God just presenting an example, and as for HIM , a YAOM [day] can be a long period of time, 1000 years, 50000 years or millions of years.

V V K , The 24 hours day , it is only for the people of the earth, the day on every planet around the sun have a different day period and so for the year.
Our year, a revolution of the earth around the sun is 365 days
Our sun and all its planet making one revolution around the center of our galaxy in a 250 000 years or [ 91 250 000 days of our days].

V V K, If you want the truth you should ask those who has the full knowledge of the Arabic language and it is grammar too.
You and Mr. Mirza and those who know little of the Arabic language, and it is grammar and reading the Quran translations will not get 100% of the right message, and for those it is better to ask the right people for explanation before jumping to the wrong conclusion , and spread lies.

Have a good day.

The Quran in S. 7:54, 10:3, 11:7, and 25:59 clearly teaches that God created "the heavens and the earth" in six days. The issue centers on the fact of whether these days are meant literally, or do they refer to God creating the universe over an indefinite period of time.
In this paper we will be examining the earliest Muslim sources in order to test the modern Muslim claims that the Quran, in agreement with modern scientific discoveries, teaches that the earth is actually billions of years old. The purpose for doing so is that modern Muslim Apologists often use this as an evidence that the Quran, unlike the Holy Bible, goes hand-in-hand with scientific fact. It is therefore presumed that this proves that the Quran is the word of God whereas the Bible is not.

Our first citation comes from Sahih Muslim, Chapter MCLV, The beginning of creation and the creation of Adam, Hadith No. 6707:

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (mpbuh) took hold of my hands and said: Allah the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light on Wednesday and He caused animals to spread on Thursday and created Adam (pbuh) after 'Asr on Friday; the last creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, ie. Between afternoon and night.
This Hadith sounds the death knell for any Muslim trying to interpret the days of the Quran as indefinite periods of time. Furthermore, this Hadith leaves us with a scientific difficulty since it states that light, i.e. sun, was not created until Wednesday, after the creation of vegetation such as trees. This becomes more evident in the following traditions.

The following traditions are taken entirely from The History of al-Tabari, Volume 1- General Introduction and from the Creation to the Flood (trans. Franz Rosenthal, State University of New York Press, Albany 1989), pp. 187-193:

"We have stated before that time is but hours of night and day and that the hours are but traversal by the sun and the moon of the degrees of the sphere.
Now then, this being so, there is (also) a sound tradition from the Messenger of God told us by Hannad b. al-Sari, who also said that he read all of the hadith (to Abu Bakr)- Abu Bakr b. 'Ayyash- Abu Sa'd al-Baqqal- 'Ikrimah- Ibn Abbas: The Jews came to the Prophet and asked him about the creation of the heavens and the earth. He said: God created the earth on Sunday and Monday. He created the mountains and the uses they possess on Tuesday. On Wednesday, He created trees, water, cities and the cultivated barren land. These are four (days). He continued (citing the Qur'an): 'Say: Do you really not believe in the One Who created the earth in two days, and set up others like Him? That is the Lord of the worlds. He made it firmly anchored (mountains) above it and blessed it and decreed that it contain the amount of food it provides, (all) in four days, equally for those asking'- for those who ask. On Thursday, He created heaven. On Friday, He created the stars, the sun, the moon, and the angels, until three hours remained. In the first of these three hours He created the terms (of human life), who would live and who would die. In the second, He cast harm upon everything that is useful for mankind. And in the third, (He created) Adam and had him dwell in Paradise. He commanded Iblis to prostrate himself before Adam, and He drove Adam out of Paradise at the end of the hour. When the Jews asked: What then, Muhammad? He said: 'Then He sat straight upon the Throne.' The Jews said: You are right, if you had finished, they said, with: Then He rested. Whereupon the Prophet got very angry, and it was revealed: 'We have created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and fatigue did not touch Us. Thus be patient with what you say.'"

This tradition not only states that the days of creation were literal, but that the heavens and the constellations were created after the earth! This is a major scientific problem!

"According to al-Qasim b. Bishr b. Mar'ruf and al-Husayn b. 'Ali al-Suda'i- Hajjaj- Ibn Jurayj- Isma'il b. Umayyah- Ayyub b. Khalid- 'Abdallah b. Rafi', the mawla of Umm Salamah- Abu Hurayrah: The Messenger of God took me by the hand. Then he said: God created the soil on Saturday. Upon it, He created the mountains on Sunday. He created the trees on Monday. He created evil on Tuesday. He created light on Wednesday. He scattered the animals on the earth on Thursday and He created Adam as the last of His creatures after (the time of) the afternoon prayer in the last hour of Friday, in the time between the afternoon prayer and night(fall)."
"According to Muhammad b. 'Abdallah b. Bazi'- al-Fudayl b. Sulayman- Muhammad b. Zayd- Abu Salamah b. 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awf- Ibn Salam and Abu Hurayrah who mentioned the hour (of Adam's creation) on Friday on the authority of the Prophet as he stated it. 'Abdallah b. Salam said: I know which hour it is. God began the creation of the havens and the earth on Sunday, and He finished in the last hour of Friday. Thus it is the last hour of Friday (in which Adam was created)."

"According to al-Muthanna- al-Hajjaj- Hammad- 'Ata' b. al-Sa'ib- 'Ikrimah: The Jews asked the Prophet: What about Sunday? The Messenger of God replied: On it, God created the earth and spread it out. They asked about Monday, and he replied: On it, He created Adam. They asked about Tuesday, and he replied: On it, He created the mountains, water, and so on. They asked about Wednesday, and he replied: Food. They asked about Thursday, and he replied: He created the heavens. They asked about Friday, and he replied: God created night and day. Then, when they asked about Saturday and mentioned God's rest (ing on it), he exclaimed: God be praised! God then revealed: 'We have created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and fatigue did not touch Us.'"

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah 's Apostle said, "Treat women nicely, for a women is created from a rib, and the most curved portion of the rib is its upper portion, so, if you should try to straighten it, it will break, but if you leave it as it is, it will remain crooked. So treat women nicely."

Sahih Bukhari 4:55:548
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who believes in Allah and the Hereafter, if he witnesses any matter he should talk in good terms about it or keep quiet. Act kindly towards woman, for woman is created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its top. If you attempt to straighten it, you will break it, and if you leave it, its crookedness will remain there. So act kindly towards women.

Sahih Muslim
According to Ibn Humayd -Yahya b. Wadih -Yahya b. Ya'qub -Hammad -Sa'id b. Jubayr -Ibn 'Abbas: This world is one of the weeks of the other world-seven thousand years. Six thousand two hundred years have already passed. (The world) will surely experience hundreds of years, during which there will be no believer in the oneness of God there.
Others said that the total extent of time is six thousand years.

Those who said this

According to Abu Hisham -Mu'awiyah b. Hisham -Sufyan -al-A'mash -Abu Salih -Kab : This world is six thousand years.

According to Muhammad b. Sahl b. 'Askar -Ismail b. 'Abd al-Karim -'Abd al-Samad b. Ma'qil i -Wahb : Five thousand six hundred years of this world have elapsed. I do not know which kings and prophets lived in every period (zaman) of those years. I asked Wahb b. Munabbih: How long is (the total duration of) this world? He replied: Six thousand years.

Al-Tabari, Vol. 1, pp. 172-173
According to al-Qasim b. Bishr b. Ma'ruf and al-Husayn b.
'Ali al-Suda'i -Hajjaj -Ibn Jurayj -Isma'il b. Umayyah-Ayyub b. Khalid -'Abdallah b. Rafi', the mawla of Umm Salamah -Abu Hurayrah: The Messenger of God took me by the hand. Then he said: God created the soil on Saturday. Upon it, He created the mountains on Sunday. He created the trees on Monday. He created evil on Tuesday. He created light on Wednesday. He scattered the animals on the earth on Thursday, and He created Adam as the last of His creatures after (the time of) the afternoon prayer in the last hour of Friday, in the time between the afternoon prayer and night(fall)."'

According to Muhammad b. 'Abdallah b. Bazi'-al-Fudayl b. Sulayman-Muhammad b. Zayd176 -Abu Salamah b. 'Abd al- Rahman b. 'Awf -Ibn Salam and Abu Hurayrah who mentioned the hour (of Adam's creation) on Friday on the authority of the Prophet as he stated it. 'Abdallih b. Salim said: I know which hour it is. God began the creation of the heavens and the earth on Sunday, and He finished in the last hour of Friday. Thus, it is the last hour of Friday (in which Adam was created).

According to al-Muthanna -al-Hajjaj-Hammid -'Ata' b. al-Sa'ib -'Ikrimah: The Jews asked the Prophet: What about Sunday? The Messenger of God replied: On it, God created the earth and spread it out. They asked about Monday, and he replied: On it, He created Adam. They asked about Tuesday, and he replied: On it, He created the mountains, water, and so on. They asked about Wednesday, and he replied: Food. They asked about Thursday, and he replied: He created the heavens. They asked about Friday, and he replied: God created night and day. Then, when they asked about Saturday and mentioned God's rest(ing on it), he exclaimed : God be praised! God then revealed: "We have created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and fatigue did not touch Us."

The two reports transmitted by us from the Messenger of God have made it clear that the sun and the moon were created after God had created many things of His creation. That is because the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas on the authority of the Messenger of God indicates that God created the sun and the moon on Friday. If this is so, earth and heaven and what is in them, except the angels and Adam, had been created before God created the sun and the moon. All this (thus) existed while there was no light and no day, since night and day are but nouns designating hours known through the traversal by the sun and the moon of the course of the sphere. Now, if it is correct that the earth and the heaven and what is between them, except what we have mentioned, were in existence when there was no sun and no moon, the conclusion is that all that existed when there was no night and no day. The same (conclusion results from) the following hadith of Abu Hurayrah reported on the authority of the Messenger of God: God created light on Wednesday-meaning by "light" the sun, if God wills.

I am answering your two posts, but I start with last one first, after that I will answer the one before the last.

In your last post, you came with the followings:

“I read your post again. some time feel like you have more knowledgeable about Christian and Jews Bible more than Quran (1). You have to be careful before rejecting or deny some in my post (2) . Because if not from Quran ,it's from Hadith . your rejecting will create big sin in your belief(3).”
YOU ARE WRONG IN ALL WHAT YOU SAID. YOU DID ALWAYS TRY YOUR BEST.

FIRST, YOU BROUGHT VERSES FROM THE QURAN, AND I DID EXPLAIN THEM TO YOU , AND WHEN THIS DID NOT WORK, THEREAFTER, YOU BOUGHT STORIES ABOUT INDIVIDUALS MUSLIM WHO DID WRONG, BELIEVING THAT IS FROM ISLAM AND THAT WRONG TOO , AND AFTER, YOU START WITH THE HADITH, AND BEFORE YOU HEAR MY ANSWER ABOUT THE HADITH YOU START TALKING ABOUT ME .

I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE???. ALL WHAT YOU KNOW IS BUDDHISM , AND YOU TRY TO PORTRAY ISLAM AS THE BAD RELIGION, WHILE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS RELIGION, NONE , NIL, AND YOU TRY TO CATCH ONE STORY, OR ONE VERSE, OR ONE HADITH AND WHATEVER YOU FIND TO USE AGAINST ISLAM.

HOW CAN YOU JUDGE ISLAM IF YOU DON’T KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT RELIGION. WHEN I PRESENT MY OPINION ABOUT JUDAISM AND CHRISTIANITY, I DO THAT AFTER MANY YEARS OF STUDY, AND I READ ALL THEIR BOOKS MANY TIME OVER, AND LISTEN TO THEIR WELL EDUCATED SCHOLARS AND NOT TO THE PEOPLE OF THE CHURCH.

BUT YOU ALWAYS JUMP TO A CONCLUSION AND BEFORE KNOWING THE TRUTH, AND THAT IS A NAIVE WAY.

HERE ARE MY ANSWERS:

- (1) - COMPLETELY WRONG , I am 73 years old, and I am a Muslim, and understand everything about my religion much more than the other religions, but in the last 7 years I read the Bible and the Gospels, and I read a lot from the works of the Christian Scholars, and watch hundreds of debates between Christians and Christians, and Muslims and Christians, and Atheists and Christians, etc. etc...

-(2) - I am an educated person and I do analyze what I read using SCIENCE, LOGIC, AND COMMON SENSE , and I don’t accept anything just because it is written in what people call holy books, and that goes for the Quran and Hadith too, and I am not shy or afraid to reject what I see wrong either from you or from anyone else.

When a Christian tell me the story of Noah flood, and the water cover the highest mountain, and claim these words to God, I will tell him that this story is a big lie, because it is against the natural laws, because all the water on earth are in the seas/lakes/rivers, and it will not increase to cover all the earth and tops the mountains. V V K, CAN YOU SEE THAT I AM RIGHT, BUT IF I AM WRONG LET ME KNOW PLEASE.

And when you tell me that a human after death will turn to animal, and will live among the people on earth, that is not scientifically or logically accepted. V V K you might create another philosophy to prove it , and it will be the same, it is just another man made theory no more.

-(3) - YOU THINK YOU ARE CLEVER BY BRINGING SUCH A CLAIM [In your mind you said, “Now I got sam, and I put him in a corner where he cannot deny the Hadith, and if deny it he deny his own faith .”
YOU ARE VERY WRONG V V K.

THE ONLY HOLY BOOK IN ISLAM IS THE HOLY QURAN. AND MUSLIM BELIEVE ITS WORDS CAME FROM GOD TRHOUGH AN ANGEL. THE QURAN HAS NO CONTRADICTIONS OR MYTH STORIES , AND IT IS FULL WITH LAWS AND INFORMATION THAT IT CAN BE ACCEPTED LOGICALLY AND SCIENTIFICALLY TODAY.

MUSLIMS IN THEIR 5 TIMES A DAY PRAYERS , THEY USE ONLY THE WORDS WHICH CAME IN THE QURAN, AND NEVER EVER MIXED IT WITH THE HADITH.

The Hadith . Muslims not obliged to accept the Hadith, and if I or any other Muslim don’t accept the Hadith , that does not mean that I or we “create big sin in your [our] belief(3). As you claimed.
DO YOU SEE THAT YOU ARE WRONG 3 TIMES WITHIN ONLY 3 LINES OF YOUR WRITING .

I f you want to know about Hadith in Islam, go to the site [hadith in islam -or- [hadith-wikipedia]

The following are few line from this site:

STUDIES:
........................

- “ Hadith studies are a number of methods of evaluation developed by early Muslim scholars in determining the veracity of reports attributed to Muhammad. This is achieved by analyzing the text of the report, the scale of the report's transmission, the routes through which the report was transmitted, and the individual narrators involved in its transmission. On the basis of these criteria, various classifications were devised for hadith.........”

{I WILL WRITE A COMPARISON AND ABOUT THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE ONE AND ONLY BOOK IN ISLAM WHICH IS THE HOLY QURAN, AND THE MANY HOLY BOOKS OF THE JEWS AND THE CHRISTIAN, AND THE BOOKS OF THE BUDDHISTS.}

TERMINOLOGY:
...-..............................
- -“ By means of Hadith terminology, hadith are categorized as
1.?a?§i? (sound, authentic),
?a)?§if (weak), or
maw?ău)? (fabricated). Other classifications used also include:
?asan (good), ..........”

BIOGRAPHICAL EVALUATION:
............................-...............................
“Another- area of focus in the study of hadith is biographical analysis (
2.‘ilm al-rij~al, lit. science of people ), in which details about the transmitter are scrutinized. This includes analyzing their date and place of birth; familial connections; teachers and students; religiosity; moral behaviour; literary output; their travels; as well as their date of death. Based upon these criteria, the reliability (thiq~at) of the transmitter is assessed. Also determined is whether the individual was actually able to transmit the report, which is deduced from their contemporaneity and geographical proximity with the other transmitters in the chain.......”

QURANISTS OR QURAN ALONE MUSLIMS VIEW OF HADITH:
..................................-...........................................-.................................

“Qur'a-n- alone Muslims, also known as Quranists, are Muslims who follow the Qur'an and consider it to be the only sacred text in Islam. They reject the religious authority of Hadith and Sunnah.......”

V V K , can you see that you are very wrong.
As wee see above, Muslim early scholars categorize the Hadith in mainly three categories - AUTHENTIC - WEAK - FABRICATED.
Muslims only accept the Authentic Hadith, and they reject the other two.
The fabricated Hadith. Are those which people created to serve some in political ventures {AS YOU ARE DOING TODAY, AND AFTER 1400 YEARS - THE ATTACK ON ISLAM KEEP GOING , BUT IT WILL NEVER CHANGE THE TRUTH.}, and many others came from the Christians and the Jews to hurt the message of Islam [ Muslims call those “Israeliat ] , and those are which cannot be accepted scientifically or logically.

Also, we understand from the above, that Muslim do not accept everything from what came to them from Hadith , not like the Jews and the Christians, and the Hindus, and the Buddhists who accept anything even if it does tells lie, or hold Myths or anything else . V V K, You can read the whole subject [Hadith] to get the full picture.

Now, I am answering the post before that, which you claim the followings:

“I like to tell you again, I respect you and you religion, it's doesn't mater some fact go with sciencetific [scientific] or not. whatever you believe in should be all respectfull [respectful](1) . Below i like to prove with you , i'm not the big lier [liar], like you alsway [always] say. (2)”
{sorry I did correct some words - no big deal - I do myself do mistake, since English is my second language, and I will be glad if you correct my writing, please do.}
- (1) - Sorry my friend, you do not respect my religion, period .
When you spend a lot of your time digging everywhere to find something that might downgrade my religion , by bringing verses from the Quran which you do not understand [HERE YOU DID WRONG] , and the Hadith which you don’t know anything about [HERE YOU LIED], and bringing the acts of some individual who done wrong thing [HERE, YOU SPOKE THE TRUTH, BUT FORGET THAT BAD PEOPLE ARE IN ALL RELIGIONS], as if you want to tell that is what Islam is. SINCE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE RELIGION OF ISLAM , and I did prove you wrong when answering your last post in # (3) .
You are attacking the Islam religion when you bring something not true, and I proved that several times before, so please don’t hide yourself behind the nice words ‘RESPECT’, ‘LOVE’ , ‘PEACE’.
V V K, I DID USE THE WORDS , ‘LIE’, ‘LIAR’ , ‘NAIVE’ , BUT IF YOU KNOW OTHER TERMS TO DESCRIBE THE ONE WHO IS (a)‘NOT TELLING THE TRUTH’ - OR (b)‘SWITCHING THE TRUTH’ - OR (c)‘HIDING THE TRUTH’ - OR (d)‘CREATING FALSE CLAIMS’ - OR (e)‘TALK ABOUT THINGS WHILE KNOWING NOTHING ABOUT ‘ , THEN PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK IS THE APPROPRIATE TERM TO USE TO DESCRIBE SUCH A PERSON, AND I WILL USE IT FOR SURE.

-(2) - From what I learn from all your post that you hold all the five, from (a) to (e), so tell me what you want me to describe you with ?, and I will change the liar thing to whatever you want to make you happy.

A: Hi Sam
All your good question refer to Buddhism history ( online) will answer all.
The sacred book of Buddhism is called the Tipitaka. It is written in an ancient Indian language called Pali which is very close to the language that the Buddha himself spoke. The Tripitaka is a very large book. The English translation of it takes up nearly forty volumes.
The Taishō Tripiṭaka is a definitive edition of the Chinese Buddhist canon and its Japanese commentaries used by scholars in the 20th century. It was edited by Takakusu Junjiro and others.
Volumes 1–85 are the literature, in which volumes 56–84 are Japanese Buddhist literature, written in traditional Chinese. Volumes 86–97 are Buddhism related drawings, includes drawings of many Buddhas and bodhisattvas. Volumes 98–100 are texts of different indexes of Buddhist texts in Japan. The 85 volumes of literature contains 5,320 individual texts,
The Khuddaka Nikaya (-nikāya; "Minor Collection") is the last of the five nikayas, or collections, in the Sutta Pitaka, which is one of the "three baskets" that compose the Pali Tipitaka, the scriptures of Theravada Buddhism. This nikaya consists of fifteen (Thailand), seventeen (Sri Lanka), or eighteen books (Burma) in different editions on various topics attributed to the Buddha and his chief disciples.

Hinduism and Buddhism.
Following are some of the differences we can see in the principles and practice of these two religions:
Hinduism believes in the efficacy and supremacy of the Vedas. The Buddhist do not believe in the Vedas or for that matter any Hindu scripture.
Buddhism does not believe in the existence of souls as well in the first cause, whom we generally call God. Hinduism believe in the existence of
Atman, that is the individual soul and Brahman, the Supreme Creator.
Hinduism accepts the Buddha as an incarnation of Mahavishnu, one of the gods of Hindu trinity. The Buddhist do not accept any Hindu god either as equivalent or superior to the Buddha.
The original Buddhism as taught by the Buddha is known as Theravada Buddhism or Hinayana Buddhism. Followers of this do not worship images of the Buddha nor believe in the Bodhisattvas. The Mahayana sect considers the Buddha as the Supreme Soul or the Highest Being, akin to the Brahman of Hinduism and worship him in the form of images and icons.
The Buddhists consider the world to be full of sorrow and regard ending the sorrow as the chief aim of human life. The Hindus consider that there are four chief aims (arthas) in life which every being should pursue. They are dharma (religious duty), artha (wealth or material possessions), kama (desires and passions) and moksha (salvation.)
Hindus also believe in the four ashramas or stages in life. This is not followed in Buddhism. People can join the Order any time depending upon their spiritual preparedness.
Buddhists organize themselves into a monastic Order (Sangha) and the monks live in groups. Hinduism is basically a religion of the individual.
Buddhism believes in the concept of Bodhisattvas. Hinduism does not believe in it.
Buddhism acknowledge the existence of some gods and goddesses of Hindu pantheon, but give them a rather subordinate status.
Buddha, the Sangha and Dhamma are the three cardinal requirements on the eightfold path. Hinduism offers many choices to its followers on the path of self-realization.
Although both religions believe in karma and rebirth, they differ in the manner in which they operate and impact the existence of individual beings.

Today, there are two main schools of Buddhism: Theravada and Mahayana. Theravada means 'the teaching of the Elders'. Theravada monks follow the practices that have been passed down by the senior monks from the Buddha's time, such as living in the forests and meditating. The goal in Theravada Buddhism is to become an Arhat, a person who is free of suffering. Theravada is practiced mainly in southern Asian countries such as Sri Lanka, Thailand and Myanmar (Burma).
Mahayana means 'Great Vehicle'. The goal in Mahayana Buddhism is to follow the Bodhisattva Path. It mainly spread to northern Asian countries like China, Tibet, Korea, Vietnam and Japan. Recently, both Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism have been introduced into the West.
