Q: WE ARE IN THE 21st CENTURY, BUT THERE ARE MANY WHO STILL LIVE BY THE MENTALITY OF THOSE WHO LIVED 20 CENTURIES BACK WHO LACKS THE ABILITIES TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL SCIENCE AND LOGIC, AND WHO CANNOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE MYTH AND THE REALITY.
For example:
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GOSPELS , and after Jeus was baptized by John, the first story is "THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS" , by Mathew.
People accept it as it is true, and it is the word of God !!, while it is a MYTH story full of lies, all what it needed to know this fact is first to analyze the story and see how anyone can write all the talks between the devil and Jesus while they were alone on top of the temple or on the highest mountain. THEY WERE ALONE ALL THE WAY [and for forty days and forty nights, Jesus was alone - then the trip after] , AND JESUS DID NOT TELL THIS STORY.
You think the devil is the one who made up this story ?.
AT THE END OF THE GOSPELS, by John, or according to John, gave this ending:
-This is the disciple who is TESTIFYING TO THESE THINGS AND WROTE THESE THINGS, and WE [who are we] know that his testimony is true.
{They try to pick any story in the street, from anyone to fill their books. true or false , it does not matter.}
- And there are also many other things {John here adding more things to the things before, THE THINGS, from the one who has no name} which Jesus did, WHICH IF THEY WERE WRITTEN IN DETAIL, I SUPPOSE THAT EVEN THE WORLD ITSELF {THE WORLD ITSELF !!!!!} WOULD NOT CONTAIN THE BOOKS THAT WOULD BE WRITTEN !!!!.
THIS LIE IS AS BIG AS THE WORLD, AND IT IS THE BIGGEST LIE IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD, BUT THE STRANGE THING , THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN THEM as true THINGS !!!!.

When I first read the Bible and the Gospels, I found that there are many things not right, and cannot be accepted as true, and I wondered how the Jews and Christians believe that these words are from God .
FIRST SURPRISE, came from Bishop JOHN S. SPONG, in his words from his books:
- The Bible full of contradictions and errors.* [and I did not know how much contradictions there]
- The Gospels cannot be trusted to be reliable.** [I did not know the whole truth of this until later on]
- God who can be killed ought to be killed.
- A GOD OR A FAITH SYSTEM THAT HAS TO BE DEFENDED DAILY IS FINALLY NO GOD OR A FAITH SYSTEM AT ALL. *** [I think we will find out that the Bishop was right]
SECOND SURPRISE, came from Mark Owen telling in his book the full story of the POPES and BISHOPS of Rome, and all the corruptions done by them .
THIRD SURPRISE, came from the Catholic Nun, Mary Ann Collins, in her books, about “WORSHIPING MARY” , that came after her leaving the catholic church .
After these surprises, many others developed by watching the Christians vs Muslims debates, and I thought the Muslims brought logics in their debates, while Christians depended on non-logical argument , as taking the word “I AM” , or words from the OT to create Jesus as God.
And it surprise me to see the Christians themselves are the one who brought up many thousands of contradictions and errors in the Bible , their own books .
* “THE BIBLE IS WORST OWN ENEMY” .
These are the words of Dennis Mckinsey, a non-Muslim scholar, [bachelor degree in philosophy, and master degree in social science, and author of the Encyclopedia of Biblical errancy , and Biblical errancy: a reference guide]
Mr. Mckinsey left Christianity to became an ATHEIST, and so Mr. John W. Loftus, who wrote “DEBUNKING CHRISTIANITY” , and there are many thousands more who done the same, and choose Atheist because they discovered that the Bible are not acceptable logically, with all the errors and contradictions that holds within, and they thought that they are the first to know this fact, and they forget to look for the truth in another Book ‘THE QURAN”, and that the Quran 1400 years ago told us the full story of the wrong doing of those who switch the truth in the Bible and the Gospels.

Dr, Craig, was trying to prove his claims on the truthfulness of the Bible and the Gospels by quoting the words of Paul [who never met Jesus], & John [who did not write “The Gospel according to John”] , and did not bring up the words of Jesus which are the only truth .
*** There are many today who wake up and use their own brain to come to the truth, that the Bible and the Gospels are full with errors and contradictions but still are those who try to defend these books, no matter what !, and it is not for the sake of the truth, but JUST TO SAVE THEIR IDENTITY AS CHRISTIAN, there is another religion out there “the Islam”, and they do not want their flocks to turn to that [hated by them] religion, but rather see their flocks turn to Atheist !!!.

Thank you for your wishes for me at Christmas time.
I am recovering from pneumonia. This has been a quiet time for me. My strength is slowly returning. I even have gone for a few workouts. Progress is slow, but observable. To be able to breathe in deeply, and not go into a fit of coughing is a good sign.
The doctor also told me to take some quiet time. While the family is sleeping, I shall take a few moments to respond to your post above, the first one on this page, in which you speak of the "temptations-in-the-desert" texts in the New Testament books.
Sam, you live not far from the University of Toronto. With your obvious interest in Bible exegesis, I wish I had the means to offer you a course on text analysis. Your fervour to understand the nuances and differences in the four Gospels by Mt, Mc, Lc and Jn is something I admire in you; you write of the contradiction between "same-event-texts" in the various Gospels. That is what university professors do in Bible exegesis classes.
When I began my courses in the 1980s, I was a non-practicing Catholic, I was very angry at the Church. Circumstances brought me to one night attend with a friend a class taught by a Catholic priest. My attitude was that of a sceptical, suspicious person; I noted the geographical and historical content in what was being said; I noted the linguistic analysis in what was being said; when the professor began to give comparisons between Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic translations of key words, I began to see the scientific method behind what was being presented.
In the years since then, I have stayed in touch with my Old Testament professor, the man I went to Palestine with and is now retired. In the years since then, as new discoveries have come to light, he has written me to share with me some of the errors of interpretation, which he taught my classmates and me. He freely has shared with me how the contributions of new analysis, by specialists of all faiths, by specialists who are of no faith (who are scientists only), how the contributions of new analysis is correcting and clarifying how the texts came to be.
My old suspicions I had, when I began my studies 30 years ago, that the specialists, because they were Catholic, would somehow try to re-convert me to Catholicism, those suspicions have faded. Why? Because as time goes on, those professors who only try to 'sell' their own religion become obvious. Those professors who try to understand the past also become identifiable.
So, to anyone who is hesitant about taking a Bible text analysis course in a particular university, Catholic, Anglican, Jewish,…, I say the following : do not be concerned with a professor trying to 'sell' her or his religion; a good professor will present information as objectively as possible; the student can discern where the professor is being subjective; the student can discern between the two.
An exception to this rule : if the student enrols in a university course of a university that is OBVIOUSLY very adamant about the theology of its denomination, then avoid such a university.
MY COMMENT ON SAM'S POST ON THE THREE TEMPTATION OF JESUS IN THE DESERT
Sam, there are texts on Abraham in the desert.
There are texts on Moses in the desert.
The desert is a place where a person is alone with their heart and the universe.
In the pitch black of night, in the desert, with not a cloud in the sky, with only the firmament as your companion, it is hard to not notice the heavens, the universe, its vastness, and your own smallness.
IS THE TEMPTATION TEXT IN MATTHEW A 1st-PERSON ACCOUT BY JESUS?
NO.
- Are we supposed to think it is? No.
IS THE TEMPTATION TEXT IN MATTHEW A REDACTION (a literary construction) BY BIBLICAL WRITERS?
YES.
- Are we supposed to think it is? Yes.
The point you bring up about Jesus supposedly being ALONE is a point you can bring up about Abraham nearly sacrificing his son; it is a point you can bring up about Moses in any number of texts…

I am sory to hear that you been having pneumonia, and I pray that you get a full and total recovery very soon.
Before two years I had a pneumonia around this time of the year, and been hospitalized for four nights, the first two nights in a special room with no visitor is allowed, and a lot of medications, and I was told that I was lucky to survive, and I thought the same, because it was really bad one. THANKS GOD who give me a chance to complete my journey.

My comment to your post, ‘Abraham and Moses in the desert’:
First, you said: “There are TEXTS on Abraham in the desert- there are TEXTS on Moses in the desert”.
Please bring ONE TEXT for each to prove that they were tempted by the devil in the desert.
Second, ‘Jesus was led up by the SPIRIT* into the wilderness TO BE TEMPTED BY THE DEVIL’.
Abraham and Moses, been led always by God, and God never tempted them by using the devil.
Third, did you ever ask yourself these questions:
- * Who is the SPIRIT, God the first person, or God the third person ?, since the second person is the Man-God Jesus.
- why the Spirit [if it is God the first person] need to test Jesus, the second person of God ?
- If Jesus is the only son of God, does His father had no trust in Him?
- Is the Father [God] does not know what is in the mind and heart of His Son Jesus, while the son knows what is in the people mind and heart ?

A: CHANGING NAME & GIVING OTHER NAME.
Any person ‘today’ can change his/her name by an application to the court ...very simple, but can anyone wipe out his ‘birth’ name from the records, the answer is no. Your birth name is stuck into the records and in the mind of your parents, relatives, friends etc., and in one own mind too.
Also, a person can accept a title as a name, or short version, or other form of name, as when we call Richard - Rick, but that will not take over the original name because the name Richard will be on every document Richard uses.
Now, my questions are:
1- “CAN YOU CHANGE SOMEONE ELSE NAME AND USE IT WITHOUT HIS APPROVAL / CONSENT?”
The answer is NO. It is a prohibited, illegal and criminal act.
2- “WHAT WE SHALL CALL THE ACT OF THOSE WHO DO THIS KIND OF WORK ?”
I think, the best term is ‘FORGERY’ .
3- “IS THE NAME ”JESUS” AS IT CAME IN THE GOSPEL TODAY A FORGERY OR NOT ?”

1- PROPHET.

2- LORD.

3- SON OF MAN.

GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT.....THE ALMIGHTY......THE CREATOR [OF HEAVENS AND THE EARTH].....THE ONE AND ONLY [GOD ALONE].....
Let us see if any of Jesus’ title fit for God:
GOD IS -THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH....THE IMMANUEL....THE LOGOS.....THE HIGH PRIEST....THE MEDIATOR.....THE PARACLETE....THE APOSTLE....THE RABBI.....THE SON OF GOD.....THE SON OF MAN ....THE LORD [SIR].... or GOD THE PROPHET.
If the above titles fit for God, then we can accept Jesus as God.

A-s- we know, the Trinity of God is described as God of THREE ‘PERSONS’* , the Father **, the Son ***, and the Holy ghost, but one God. OK. Let us look what a PERSON means:
* As the Oxford dictionary put it , “PERSON- INDIVIDUAL HUMAN BEING; living body of human being.
Here , God of three persons means that God is of three individual human being, and that is against any logic. I wonder if any Christian agree with me?.
** “FATHER- male parent (1), originator, early leader. Oxford dictionary.
The first person in the Trinity, is the Father, and according to the Oxford dictionary terms (1) , that makes the God Father a MALE parent, and Mary the female parent , and Jesus the Son.
That is also against any logic because God has no male or female gender. God is the Holy Spirit.
*** THE SON - The Son as a second person coming before the third person, the Holy Ghost/the Holy Spirit which is God Himself cannot be right, and cannot be accepted in any logic.
{Truly, truly, I [Jesus] say to you. A slave is not greater than his master, NOR IS ONE WHO IS SENT [JESUS] GREATER THAN THE ONE WHO SENT HIM [GOD]. John 13:16
......................THE CHRISTIAN LOGIC TO PROVE THE TRINITY................
To know the Trinity is very easy, just read the history of it. It is the work of many Popes and Bishops for many years, but to defend that works, the Christians claims that it is already there in the books, the old and the new, and they pick up words from here and phrase from there, but nothing from the true words of Jesus Himself.
My question is, “If Jesus was clearly known as divine/God in the early Christianity [I mean before Paul], then what is the need to spend 75 years, after 325+ years from Jesus death, to create the TRINITY ?.
The Christian try to prove the Trinity in many different ways:
- THE TRIANGLE, each of the three persons of God has his corner in the triangle, and they say ONE GOD. I think it will be better if they put the three persons in the middle of a circle, that will be closer to logic.
- THE EGG- They give the egg as an example, as the egg has three parts [the shell, the white and the yolk] but it is one. Of course wasn’t good for the reason that the egg might br rotten.
- THE WATER- Because the water has three forms [solid, liquid, vapour] but it is of one substance as in the case of the Trinity.
THEY TRY EVERYTHING , WHY, because the Trinity does not work with Logic, so they try other unlogical things to prove the unlogical Trinity !.
I will end this post by the words of the catholic NUN , Mary Ann Collins:
“ I believe in the Trinity...... but , I don’t understand how it work.”
{I agree with her, because it very hard to understand unlogical things.}
“ Ordinary people CAN UNDERSTAND the Bible...simple enough for a child to understand, BUT the Bible is so rich that A BRILLIANT SCHOLAR can spend a life time studying it and STILL NOT UNDERSTAND everything in it.”
{ You do not need a brilliant scholar to understand the words of Moses and the commandments, and the clear and true words of Jesus, but as for those who added their words in the holy books, I think everyone will be confused and hardly anyone can understand or find the truth.}
Now, I am going to introduce my own trinity , which is, GOD, PEACE, LOVE, in ONE straight line.
