Q: They claim to find Jesus' Tomb. They say archaeologists, forensics experts, statisticians, etc. have COME TOGETHER to decipher "one of the greatest mysteries of all time"
sounds more like a circus advertisement to me.
Look at the motives...Follow the money...Do your own research, believe me there are tons of debates, theories, findings...you name it. The truth will reveal itself, no one will have to go digging it up.
I have a Question:
WHY, IF YOU SAY YOU PAY ATTENTION TO CLOSE DETAIL, DO YOU HAVE ON A WEB SITE INTRO PAGE A CLAIM THAT "An incredible archaeological discovery in Israel changes history and shocks the world. Tombs with the names The Virgin Mary, Jesus of Nazareth, Mary Magdalene and Judas, their son, are found and an investigation begins."
HUH?
DID YOU SEE THAT

OK...THEN WHY INSIDE THE SAME SITE IT SAYS;
"Ossuary 80/505 was inscribed “Maria” – a Latinized version of the name “Miriam,” rendered in Hebrew letters. AND Ossuary 80/500: “Mariamene e Mara” – “Mariamne, also called Master”
BUT WAIT THE INTRO PAGE SAID "...The Virgin Mary..."
AND "...Mary Magdalene.." NAMES FOUND
HOW MISLEADING (TISK TISK TISK)
Oh...and if this were a court of law (and since they use legal nomenclature)
CREDIBILITY is something you need. I found a little dent in that armor. I'm sure with your own searching you will find some too.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE ASUMPTION THAT ALL OF THE FACTS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED.
I urge caution about making any assumptions about the relationships of these people and their identities until further DNA evidence can be collected from each bone box and hopefully from the bones themselves.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN REMEMBER IS THE SKULLS THAT WERE FOUND IN THE TOMB WITH THE OSSUARIES ARE NOT FROM THE FIRST CENTURY.
THESE BOXES HAVE BEEN TAMPERED WITH AND POSSIBLY CONTAMINATED WITH THE REMAINS OF OTHERS. THE BONES HAVE NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED, CATEGORIZED OR EVEN EXAMINED PROPERLY.
*****THERE WAS A SHORT COMMENT AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE ABOUT THE FACT THERE WERE MORE THAN ONE HUMAN REMAINS IN AT LEAST ONE OF THESE OSSUARIES.***** (PLEASE RESEARCH THIS FURTHER)
THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED
It is extremely dangerous to say that this is the same JESUS
box and the remains of "THE JESUS OF NAZARETH"
without first taking the DNA sample from Ossuary 80/505 -- “Maria” ,
the MOTHER MARY box and DNA matching it for maternal positive ID
too Ossuary 80/503 "Yeshua bar Yosef” – “Jesus, Son of Joseph”
Now when that information comes to light, then you will have a much
clearer picture of the family connection within the tomb.
This also needs to be done with ALL the ossuaries
and bones (if possible) so that any samples can be preserved,
tested and FULLY DNA IDENTIFIED.
Of course this goes without saying that DNA parental identification
needs to be established with the Ossuary 80/503 "Yeshua bar Yosef”
– “Jesus, Son of Joseph” and the Ossuary 80/500:
“Mariamene e Mara” – “Mariamne, also called Master”
with regard to the possible child
Ossuary 80/501: “Yehuda bar Yeshua” – “Judah, son of Jesus”
Also, on a side note, you need to address the interestingly strange sequence of events that cause the "emotionally driven" GLOBAL stock market to suddenly make an "unusually market correction" (down over 400 points) when the announcement of a "JESUS FAMILY TOMB" press conference reverberated around the world. And then when the Documentary was denounced "by authorities) then all was right with the market again....Look at the timing.... I did and it was interesting, Coincidence.... maybe.
All of this bears more investigation with an open mind. Asking for God in Heaven to give you discernment and wisdom is always a good idea, because He will answer.

A: Isn't it funny that if you agree with the literal Bible, you are rightous. If you disagree or challenge, you are accused of heresy. It never ceases to amaze me how otherwise intelligent people can believe a document (Bible) and it's literal translation as without flaw especially when they haven't read the original, haven't studied the context and just relied upon some interpretation of some other person (the priest, preacher or rabbi)or what they interpret by reading the words themselves. Before you conclude if this is truth or fiction, why not wait for all the evidence to unfold.

A: I agree with the majority of postings on this topic. We need to have an open mind and explore all the evidence and do further testing. I believe the bones from the bone boxes need to be exhumed from where ever they are and tested for relationships. the Israeli governement needs to be more transparent and allow futher investigation into the theory that this may be the tomb of Jesus of Nazareth. After all many countries adopted Christianity which became the foundation of their culture and lifestyles. Wars were fought over religion. People were tortured and lots of blood was shed in the name of Christ. Mankind deserves to know if there is any archeological evidence that may link this tomb and its remains to Jesus Christ. I urge people to have an open mind. No one wants to upset any person's religious beliefs, everyone has the right to believe their own faith but people who believe in science and historical facts also have the right to know the truth. If this tomb can unlock the past and we can learn more about its occupants then I say bring it on!!
