Q: There is more to the discovery than the movie goes into.
FACT:
There were bones, human remains = 3 SKULLS = that were also found in this tomb
THIS OPENS UP THE QUESTIONS.... WERE SOME OF THE BONES IN THE OSSUARIES FROM 1000 YEARS AFTER CHRIST.
TALK ABOUT CRITICAL INFORMATION JUST TOTALLY LEFT OUT!
(bad form guys, you could have handled it better... less recreation time and more details about the real find.)
THERE ARE DETAILS NOT BEING TALKED ABOUT ON THIS SITE.
LIKE THE 3 STRANGE SKULLS THAT DON'T HAVE AN KNOWN OWNER = AND AT THIS TIME DOESN'T HAVE THE REST OF THEIR BONES ACCOUNTED FOR EITHER!
Look it up .... on this very site ....

A: The tomb contains niches where the ossuaries were found and 2 or 3 shelves where the bodies were stored until they decompose after which the bones are being collected and put in an ossuary.
It is possible that the skulls found in the tomb but not inside an ossuary belonged to bodies that were set on the shelves to decompose and were left behind for unknown reasons before being placed in an ossuary.

A: The three skulls do raise some interesting questions.
I noticed that they weren't dealt with in the documentary.
I think the suggestion is that their pressence goes to the idea that someone considered this to be a sacred site long after Jesus died.
As for them being from bodies that had been set on the shelves, there would be other bones along with them. The skulls were set in a triangle form on the ground, by themselves. It looks like they were placed in a ritualistic way.
There is plenty to suggest that this tomb was anything but a "normal" Jewish tomb. There are more questions than answers right now.

A: The bones that were found out of the ossuaries were probably never brought up because one couldnt even begin to assume who they belonged to. Could have been bones from one of the ossuaries.. remains of some unknow that werent place in an ossuary yet. Someone from a later period. There was no way to speculate so why bring them into it

A: Could be some of the saints skulls or some very important people of those timeslike a Pope..Bringing them up raises more questions.WHO WERE THEY?There are cults who collect skulls.May be some of Jesus's descendants were placed there during the crusades.Too bad they can't speak.
