Title: What happened to the bones? And 3 skulls mean what? •

Q: What happened to the bones. Someone on this site said they were dumped together in a mass grave which I find hard to believe only because I think the autorities would have more respect for the dead and at least have catalogue the bones and bury seperately. Does anyone know?
Also what is the significance of the three skulls and where did they come from? Surely, that wasn't a Jewish custom of heads left on the floor????

A: From what I've read, the bones were reburied in accordance with Orthodox Jewish tradition.

A: Krystyna: Yes, but does that mean there are no records so archaelogists can go back and retrieve the bones?

A: It would be fascinating if they could find the bones and do DNA testing on them. If they could link the family members through DNA as being father, mother and children the case would be undeniable.
As it stands the coffin named Joseph could actually be the son of the Jesus in the tomb and the grandson of another man named Joseph. Mathew and Mary could be the parents. By establishing through DNA tests the relationships between the remains found in the tomb, one could prove without a doubt that this is the biblical family.
