Statistician: Andrey Feuerverger
Feuerverger is a professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Toronto. He holds a B.Sc (Honors Mathematics) from McGill University and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. He has visited many universities and research facilities over the span of his career, including A.E.C.L., Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Grenoble. Feuerverger’s research interests include: statistical theory; mathematical statistics; nonparametrics and asymptotics. In addition, Feuerverger has given conferences and seminar presentations at a variety of locations around the world, including Banff, Columbia, Italy, Prague and Tokyo.
He is the author of over 50 scientific publications, including: Achieving limiting distributions for Markov chains using back buttons, Statistical methods for assessing the dimensions of synaptic vesicles in nerve terminals and Computation of value-at-risk for nonlinear portfolios.
